    Mets 1, Nats 0 in 5th

I'm also watching some CFL action on NFLN.

    Montreal 24, Saskatchewan 10 in 2nd quarter

Santana looking much better, but the Mets need to get another run or two (at least).

This game is smelling more and more like a loss.

once again the mets are scoring a ton of runs for Johan :/

couldnt expect them to score too much tonight considering they flew from PR to Washington at 1am.

The bad old days of pathetic performances on the road are apparently back.

I'm beginning to think that chick on the golf course was somebody's wife on the team.

Seriously....this team should be embarrassed to lose this game. Embarrassed because they don't score for Johan....EVER. Feliciano should be embarrassed that he walked a a left-handed hitter barely hitting .150.
Take a bow, fellas. Quite possibly the worst loss of the year.

    This team fuckin sucks.

Typical Mets...go 5-4 vs yanks, twins, and tigers...then follow it up with a shit performance against marlins and nats. They will be lucky to go 2-4

Cora picks up Barajas and Francoeur with a 2-out bases clearing triple. 4-0 Mets in the top of the 4th.

Absolutely brilliant play by Tejada saves that piece of crap Rodriguez.

Manuel with perhaps his worst bullpen use yet, and that's really saying something. He has GOT to be fired. Ojeda ripping him a new one on the postgame show, but of course Wilpon and Minaya are too fucking stupid to do a damn thing about it.

Forced Strasburg to throw a lot of pitches in that 1st inning, but only scored 1 run

Bay with a single to drive in a run in the top of the 1st, but Strasburg gets absurdly lucky when he throws a wild pitch behind Francoeur's head with the bases loaded that happens to hit his bat and become a foul ball. Strasburg did not look good at all in the top of the 1st.

Singles by Wright, Davis, and Thole make it 2-0.

On a different note, I find the arguments that Strasburg should be named to the All-Star team laughable. It isn't like there is no one else on the team who deserves it - Dunn, Zimmerman, and Willingham all have OPS values above .870, and Dunn and Willingham's are over .900. For Strasburg to make it, someone like Pelfrey would have to be left off the team, and that would be outrageous. If he's that good he'll have plenty of chances to play in the game anyway.

Stupid baserunning by Desmond and a nice play by Wright to get him at second.

In the first 6 starts of his career Strasburg has a 2.45 ERA, with a .215 BA against, .267 OBP against, .287 SLG against, and 1.064 WHIP. In his 6 starts since he came back from the DL Jonathon Niese has a 2.43 ERA, with a .218 BA against, .277 OBP against, .333 SLG against, and 1.082 WHIP.

Tejada botches the easy inning-ending DP, and now Dickey has work to do.

    Dunn whiffs.
