Capuano pitched 6 solid innings with his only mistake a solo shot to Fielder. Starting pitching has been solid for the most part this season....let's see if the Mets can scratch a few runs out in the last 3 frames.

Losing 1-0. Lots of pitching. Edit: posted too soon, Reyes is amazing, Mets are winning 2-1

More interesting, the Mets actually seem to be interested in actual prospects in the draft, rather than picking up people who they don't have to pay anything to.

Former Met Gomez robs Beltran of a 2 run shot. Inning over....

Come on Cakes this team is the first Mets team to actually show some cahunas for 5-6 years. Are they an attractive team no ...but they fight and scrap which is all we can ask for considering the financial implications

Anyway lets hope for another win!!!

It probably took longer to write this and post than it would to check mlb.com

I was watching the NBA game and was at this site. It was easier to ask here especially since I wasn't looking for an immediate answer.

Mets rally for 5 in the eighth. All started by a Reyes chop single. And topped off by a monstruous 3 run shot by Paulino. Pelfrey out of the game but pitched well with his only mistake a 2 run shot by Fielder.

So far in the series: Mets 8 runs, Fielder 3

Lets hope the bullpen can hold a 6-2 lead as this scrappy team continues to fight.

I meant to add Pelfrey to my fantasy league team this evening because I knew he would be good tonight, but I was unable to go online when I would have made the move. I watched a few pitches of the game.

And once again the bullpen fails bigtime.

And just like that Beato and Isringhausen give up the lead. Fielder hits another 2 run shot...huge blast over left center to tie the game at 6.

See the below post from statjeff22 to learn why I don't watch much baseball anymore.

Too many times I'd watch a game for two hours and the team I was rooting for was never trailing at any point. Then the starter would get pulled while up 2-1 or 4-2 or something like that. Then some fuck would come out of the bullpen and relinquish the lead in two minutes.

I don't normally believe in jinxes, but Gary Cohen is captain jinx.
"Milwaukee hasn't lost two in a row at home all year, but the Mets have a 4-run lead in the 8th..."
"The Mets haven't had a walk-off loss yet this season."
    "Isringhausen was dominant last night."

    Ugh, rough loss.
