Mets at Marlins, 8/29-8/31

I tried to give Yisman a chance to start this, but I guess he's not around.

Oliver Perez (9-7, 4.00 ERA) versus Chris Volstad (4-3, 3.42 ERA).

As I posted in the Mets-Phils thread, the Phils blew a 2-0 lead this afternoon and lost to the Cubs 3-2. Mets are up by 1.5 games, 2 in the loss column.

 

IF hit for Reyes, stolen base, sac bunt goes for a hit for Castillo, stolen base for Castillo on a Wright K. Wright continues to struggle lately (4 for his last 21).

 

Sac fly for Beltran. 1-0.

 

hr for willingham. 1-1. perez doesn't really look right.

 

Very inconsistent strike zone for this umpire.

 

Both pitchers have thrown a lot of pitches through 4 innings.

 

What a pathetic strike call. This umpire is a joke.

 

Mets are letting this guy off the hook - 6 outs on only 19 pitches the last two innings after 64 pitches through 3 innings.

 

And another wonderful example of why it's stupid to have a crappy hitter batting second in the lineup.

 

Another big fail for Wright.
