Mets acquire OF Hermansen from Marlins

    For the famous PTBNL: Doubt he will see any time with the bigs but wasnt he a supposed phenom with the Pirates years ago?

    The Marlins traded Triple-A Albuquerque outfielder Chad Hermansen to the New York Mets' organization for a player to be named. Hermansen had been on the disabled list since July 28 with a foot bruise, but he wasn't likely to get much playing time behind Brett Carroll, Reggie Abercrombie, Eric Reed and John Gall. ...

    Yes, Hermansen was the former Pirates phenom. He's likely just to be AAA depth for the Mets since Ben Johnson is out for the season after breaking his ankle. It seemed like every thing that could go wrong did for Johnson this year.
