2 weeks ago I was able to get some tickets to the Jets Bills game from a TGGer for me and my GF. On my way over to my friends tailgating lot, I noticed a big behemoth of a man getting out of a car, it was Mangold. Then out popped Brunell, and Sanchez. I'm guessing they were late to the game because it was at like 10:30 or so and there were no other players coming into the lot at that time. An hour later in the lot I was tailgating in I met Woody Johnson. He was driving around in one of the Medowlands security trucks, and he stopped to say hi and sign some autographs. I'm not sure if there was a reason he was drivign around but I thought it was pretty cool for an owner to do. Has anyone that has tickets seen him doing this before?
Woody Johnson lives up the street from me here. My friend works for him and lives on the property so I've seen his house numerous times.
Went to one of the Jets rallies leading up to the play off games a couple of years ago. Gastineau was there, Chrebet but, highlight was shaking hands with Klecko and telling him he has always been my favorite Jet.
This is way back and I've told the story on here a few times but I met Adrian Murrell at a record store after he was traded to the Cardinals. I was living in Phoenix at the time and he still had his NYJ 29 license plate on a Dodge Viper. Really awesome guy. Maybe about 20 years ago my uncle purposely overthrew the ball in the parking lot to hit Leon Hess's limo.
wayne seemed like a pretty cool guy. but i was way to excited to see my hero in person 1 foot away to carry on a normal convo with him.
