My wife and I were leaving the Syracuse / Notre Dame game in the third and saw Mike walking out behind us. Had a solid 10 minute conversation with him. He answered all of my questions directly (and I believe honestly). Told him the fan base really appreciates his ability to make quick pickups to fill needs, etc. He was extremely personable and down to earth...really made my day. Anyway, if you happen to read this Mr. Maccagnan, I regret not thinking to give you my business card. I would love to come work for your scouting or video team. I can literally walk to Atlantic Health from where I live.
Well why stop there......send email, fax, official letter. I am sure one of those things will filter thru. Good luck
Good for you GQ. When you have time, can you let us know what he said about the team or the coaches etc?
I see Eric Allen at the gym a lot. I may ask him to pass my credentials along if I feel comfortable enough.
Sure, so, ironically I'm just seeing the Decker potential IR designation. We were talking about how Gailey was going to deploy Seferian-Jenkins to free up guys like Decker from needing to go inside on under routes. The irony is that obviously Mike knew how severe the shoulder injury was at the time of our conversation and was basically telling me that but I just didn't pick up on his subtle cues. I also mentioned the concern with Forte touching the ball 30x a game. He won't make it the whole season with that workload. Mike mentioned they need to do a better job of integrating Powell because he's a great playmaker. I also dropped TheGangGreen by name. Bunch of other players discussed: Erin Henderson, Robbie Anderson, and R. Wilson. I actually ended the conversation because I felt bad for taking up so much of his time right before game day. Seemed like Mike was willing to talk more football. Definitely super approachable.
Eric Decker is probably done. His right shoulder looks completely immobilized. He didn't even lift it to fist bump someone...
