That's great and all but I noticed that for the last 5 years the Jets play their first game at home. It's hard to believe it coincidence
"It's a formula". That's why we've played the Raiders almost every year, most of the time in Oakland.
There are a ton of factors that go into creating the schedule. One factor alone is stadium availability; some teams share a stadium (Jets and Giants, Raiders and A's), some stadiums have outside events scheduled (Winter Classic at Hines and Gillette in recent years), some have odd ordinances (49ers cannot host on Monday or Thursday unless it's a holiday), and the list goes on. Decent breakdown on the process from a couple of years ago: http://mmqb.si.com/2014/04/24/making-of-2014-nfl-schedule
Good question. I think league asks Giants and Jets about the first week. Whoever wants to open at Metlife closes on the road. Last few years, we opened at home but closed on the road. It might be different this year but I am sure they are asking Jets and Giants about their preference for Week 1.
Seems we always get the home game and the Giants always open Sunday night in Dallas.. So look for that again.
We have played the last game of the year on the road the last 5 or 6 years and its ridiculous.I rather end the year at home
While Week 16 against NE here was magical, I much rather of had that game Week 17, or on the road and have had Buffalo come to us in that win and in scenario.
Aw shucks I thought this was going to be a thread bashing Metlife for the shit hole that it is representing two teams in the wrong state that are supposed to be representing the greatest city in the world. My b.
I've been following NYC FC's debacle to get a stadium some time before the next millenia. NY politics are ridiculous. Jeez and that saying a lot, since I'm from Portland. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
My daughter and her BF are going to the NYC FC's game on Saturday at the Stadium. I'm not a soccer fan but my kids seem to be interested. My son has gone to a bunch of matches in Italy and Spain this semester. _
I hope they get their early. From what I understand the "no print from home policy" and security checks make the stadium a fucking b-itch. I was watching the first game and people were still shambling in 30 minutes into the first half. People can say what they want about Woody but Hal Steinbrenner and his little roadies Lonn Trost and Randy Levine are first class pricks. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
Well let's put it this way. She is the maid of honor at my older daughter's wedding and she is making ME go to the final fitting at Kleinfelds on Saturday because her and all her friends need to be at the pregame festivities early. I'm good with that because we're going to The Brindle Room for cheese burgers for lunch. _
Stokes. Playing the role of good father and Brady hater. Can we ask for more? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
Dude negotiating the bachelorette party with the hormones involved is KILLING me. Seriously. Have boys. If you find in vitro it's a girl, think about another "option". And I love my daughters. _
