I didn't see anything posted on this, but Kiper ran through his 1st round mock draft

Had us taking D'Brickashaw Ferguson at #4 and Mangold at #29

if we don't trade up to #2 to take Leinart

I would rather have Brick and a pass rushing OLB...someone like Thomas Howard or Bobby Carpenter would be nice...

I think its a better bet to take Mangold at 29 and hope Carpenter falls to 35 than the other way around. Pittsburgh is the biggest threat to take him, but I think there's a better chance they pass on him than New Orleans passing on Mangold.

i HIGHLY doubt that mangold will fall to the jets second round pick. You have the steelers who might take him , as well as new orleans who just lost bentley. Somebody good will fall to the jets second round pick

I don't see why. A center and a left tackle are the two most valuable positions on the offensive line (protecting a righty QB) and we currently don't have a satisfactory solution at either.

We already have a LT. C and RT are our two glaring OL needs.

You're right, I had a stupid moment and forgot about Jones. In any case Ferguson is far and away the best offensive lineman in the draft and an upgrade over Jones (who I believe could play RT.)

Then look for us to go through 5 QB's again next season. Actually, I'd be happy if we took 3 o-linemen with our first 3 picks! That's how bad I believe our offensive line is.... We will go nowhere if we do not adress this problem.

we have alot mre holen to fil then just olineman so what we will have a great offensive line and then a moderate d that needs improving, an ageing rb and a qb whos arm but be really messed up.. come on man we cant waste all three picks on o lineman....
