If the Colts wanted him back, they could have worked out the money issue.

Irsay got rich because his dad became rich.

And I am getting very sick of Manish. Now he's reporting that the Jets already contacted Peyton through another anonymous source? He's probably making shit up. I also hate how every time something happens, he has to let everyone know he is the one who reported it, even when like 20 people would have reported it or it was something obvious that didn't need reporting.

At this point, I hope Peyton is a dolphin. I really don't give a f***.

    He wants a job?

I think Mehta does this to get airtime. The Daily News is a liberal rag. With these "sources" he appears on NFLN and ESPN. I hope they hire him, because I don't watch either and prefer forums like this and local papers for my Jets news.

This is like asking basketball players "would you want Michael Jordan on your bball team?" No shit the answer is yes. Mehta's a douchebag for posting shit like this. I feel bad for Sanchez, I really hope this serves as motivation for him and not frustration.

And that's why players do it anonymously. If it's the only way to have your voice heard without getting cut, then why not? It's not cowardice, it's called being intelligent. Everyone on the team should say they want Manning.

How about an NFC championship a few short years ago? With an average team at that.

Yeah, fuck all these anonymous sources talking about Watergate. If you have something bad to say about President Nixon, stop being a pussy and put your name on it!

Without anonymous sources, American journalism couldn't exist. Mehta isn't making stuff up, you all are just whining because just don't like what the players have to say.

Who says Manning wanted to work out the money issues? He might have felt Irsay owed him for all he did for the Colts.

Dont forget, from a purely business point of view, Manning probably made Irsay hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars in 14 years.

Your logic is flawed because you're comparing Peyton Manning to other QBs. He'll transform a team the way no one else could. For the right price, I'll give it a shot.

Mark Sanchez so far is what I thought he is. You wanna crown him, then crown his ass. But you're letting him off the hook.

On the other hand, can you name any QB as good as Manning who has become a free agent?

What exactly does the Daily News being a "liberal rag" have to do with Manish Mehta?

I can't hate Manish getting anonymous sources. At the end of the day he is getting info and what I like about Manish is he isn't just purely speculating like Cimini.

My question is who ultimately wants Manning on the Jets? Muhammad Wilkerson came out in support of Sanchez, so did Damien Woody along with Mangold, Slauson, Pouha, and Leohnard. I feel that says a lot

I don't want a quarterback who has had at least 4 neck surgeries. The fact that he has been operated multiple times should raise huge red flags.

Obviously IF Manning is healthy for 3 years then yeah sure take a shot. But can anyone be assured of that? He could be healthy this year and then go downhill next year.

Lets keep a little optimism, the nfl is very year to year, there are plenty of players that were still part of the two championship games. A good draft and free agency and this team can definitely rebound. If that doesn't get you optimistic about the season then just remember

    SCHITTY ISN'T HERE! YEAH BABY!

i'm curious as to why so many fans worry about sanchez's feelings.

he's a grown man, he can handle it.

if he can't, then he's not cut out to be a quarterback.

feeling bad for a multi-millionaire 25 year old because there are reports his team is inquiring about one of the greatest qbs ever?

    child please.
