Watching NFLN and he said some Jets would want Manning on the team. Of course no names just as before. The guy's a dope. You can complain about Cimini but he's the only beatwriter that gives yoiu any info.
You may not like the info he's giving but he IS giving info. He's giving info that he'd never get if it wasn't anonymous. He can't name his anonymous sources or he'd never get another anonymous quote from a player again.
There are some players on every team without a top 3 qb that want Manning. And by some, I would suspect that number is 50 on the Jets.
The Anonymous source. The omniscient and omnipotent Anonymous Source! Hail the Anonymous Source! (Who gives a fuck about a coward who doesn't even bother to step up front?)
If these anonymous sources are so keen to have their say, how come they only ever seem to speak to Mehta?
Apparently a lot of people do. I don't think it's unreasonable to think some players would want Peyton Manning as their QB. Maybe he's the only one who asks off the record questions the right way?
These "anonymous" sources need to grow a set. If you are going to complain about someone, at least slap your name on it. Not everyone feels the way you do.
This is ridiculous. Whoever is talking to the media hiding behind the anonymous tag needs to be cut from this team. It's no wonder our locker room is a fucken mess.
My anonymous source says that Mehta is actually not writing a damn thing - it's his ghost writer doing all the journalistic job for him. And NO. I will not disclose who told me that.
Most of the fanbase feels the same way as these sources. LT came out today. Guys just want to win. And Peyton (healthy) gives a team a damn good chance at winning. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2012/03/ladainian_tomlinson_says_jets.html
Cimini rode a battalion of anonymous sources to a cush job at ESPN. You could probably find yourself a better example.
This. Most players want to win, and they know Manning gives them the best chance to do that. And fans want to win too and dont give a shit about the cap ramifications in 5 years.
As a fan i care about the cap ramifications in 5 years. I don't want this team to get fucked over like they did when they chased favre. It's always instant gratification we're chasing and thats not how you get sustained success.
