Who do you think is the better NFL Draft analyst? I going to go with Todd McShay he knows much more than Kiper it is amazing.
Kiper has a tremendous track record of finding sleeper picks. His first round mock is generally pretty "on".
McShay is just a flat out idiot, so there's no real question here. Like the article said, he's basically a mouthpiece for whatever the latest hype says. Kiper gets a lot of heat, but he has a vast wealth of knowledge about these prospects every year, guaranteed way more than McShay. Mayock has a lot of insane ideas, but he's a tape guy, so I can't fault him for his work.
Yep , I'll take Mayock as well. He doesn't seem to have an agender and doesn't get fazed by hype :coughs:McFadden:coughs:
McShay just reports whatever the current hype is around a prospect. As much as some might hate Kiper he is usually on the right track and also seems to have a knack for finding sleepers in the draft. That being said I would take Mayock over both of them.
I think Kiper is a cocky little turd. With that said, I thought Alan Branch was going to be a stud. The majority of mock drafts and experts last year had him going as high as 3, not below 15. Kiper had him ranked at about 113. Branch fell to the Cardinals in the second round and logged about a dozen tackles this season. Damn you and your hair, Kiper.
Kiper is a lot better than people give him credit for. Draft fanatics should appreciate him, he's really helped the NFL Draft become such a huge television event.
Half the posters on this board could do better than McShay. I really like Kiper, but here's the problem, ESPN doesn't utilize Kiper properly. On Draft day, he's practically silent most of the day, only giving a quick blurb on a player. Chris Berman really controls draft day and runs it into the ground. Day two is much better with Suzy. So IMO, Kiper is a product of the junk ESPN's program director's produce. Kiper is much better on Radio when he gets to expand his analysis and goes into detail. NFL network let's Mayock really expand and go into depth going over a player's abilities.
I agree. On TV, Kiper is made out to be some moron that is only on TV because of his hair, when in reality, he is a very knowledgeable person.
Kiper has bias vs some teams no question about that but his knowledge is far better than Todd McShay's.
