Fuck! The stupid Jets did it again. They traded up. They traded up in one of the deepest drafts in a long time. We all know it's going to happen, so the mock had to be made.

The Jets use Leon and draft picks to move up 5 spots.

    Jets receive: RD1(24) RD3(70)

Eagles receive: Leon Washington, RD1(29) RD5(155)

I feel this trade is even. Picks 24 and 70 equal 980 points according the trade value chart. Picks 29 and 155 equal 670. 980 minus 670 is 310 which is a low 2nd round pick, right where I feel the value of Leon is.

    1 1 St. Louis Rams - Sam Bradford - QB - Oklahoma
    1 2 Detroit Lions - Ndamaukong Suh - DT - Nebraska
    1 3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Gerald McCoy - DT - Oklahoma
    1 4 Washington Redskins - Russell Okung - OT - Oklahoma State
    1 5 Kansas City Chiefs - Bryan Bulaga - OT - Iowa
    1 6 Seattle Seahawks - Eric Berry -S - Tennessee
    1 7 Cleveland Browns - Jason Paul-Pierre - DE - South Florida
    1 8 Oakland Raiders - Trent Williams - OT - Oklahoma
    1 9 Buffalo Bills - Jimmy Clausen - QB - ND
    1 10 Jacksonville Jaguars - Joe Haden - CB - Florida
    1 11 Denver Broncos - Rolando McClain - LB - Alabama
    1 12 Miami Dolphins - Dez Bryant - WR - Oklahoma State
    1 13 San Francisco 49'ers - Anthony Davis - OT - Rutgers
    1 14 Seattle Seahawks - Derrick Morgan - DE - Georgia Tech
    1 15 New York Giants - Sean Weatherspoon - LB - Missouri
    1 16 Tennessee Titans - Kyle Wilson - CB - Boise State
    1 17 San Francisco 49'ers - C.J. Spiller - RB - Clemson
    1 18 Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike Iupati - OG - Idaho
    1 19 Atlanta Falcons - Brandon Graham - DE - Michigan
    1 20 Houston Texans - Dan Williams - DT - Tennessee
    1 21 Cincinnatti Bengals - Jermaine Gresham - TE - Oklahoma
    1 22 New England Patriots - Sergio Kindle - OLB - Texas
    1 23 Green Bay Packers - Jerry Hughes - OLB - TCU
    1 24 New York Jets - Earl Thomas - S - Texas
    1 25 Baltimore Ravens - Jared Odrick - DT/DE - Penn State
    1 26 Arizona Cardinals - Everson Griffin - DE/OLB - USC
    1 27 Dallas Cowboys - Maurkice Pouncey - C/OG - Florida
1 28 San Diego Chargers - Ryan Mathews - RB - Fresno State
    1 29 Philadelphia Eagles - Taylor Mays - S - USC
    1 30 Minnesota Vikings - Devin McCourty - CB - Rutgers
    1 31 Indianapolis Colts - Bruce Campbell - OT - Maryland
    1 32 New Orleans Saints - Carlos Dunlap - DE - Florida

    New York Jets:

1 24 Earl Thomas - S - Texas. Incredible athlete, covers whole field. Starter from day one.
2 61 John Jerry - OG/OT - Ole Miss. Good depth for OL. Can play G or RT.
3 70 Arthur Jones - DE - Syracuse. Would have went higher if it weren't for injuries. Just what the Jets need for the DE spot.
4 124 Brandon Lang - OLB - Troy. Good athlete with an even better motor. Can get after the QB.
6 198 Mike Hoomanawanui - TE - Illinois. Terrific blocking TE who can catch too.
7 236 Stafon Johnson - RB - USC. My favorite late RB. Good vision, balance, and receiving skills. Will backup Greene once LT leaves town.

This isn't a bad trade-up scenario, since we still end up with 6 picks and we get back into the 3rd round. I'd be very happy with this draft.

I like the trades, I don't like how the WR position was ignored. Can't argue with Thomas and Jerry as our 1st and 2nd picks though...

    Same here.

I'd rather see a wideout selected in the third than Arthur Jones.

Jones can be a hell of a player in the 3-4, but I think he'll be around in the 4th. That injury cost him big time.

Brandon Lang completely killed his stock at the combine. He could fall to the late fifth or early sixth.

This draft would go from good to great if you drafted a guy like Andre Roberts or Linval Joseph in the third. Then went after a DE or a WR like Emmanuel Sanders or Arthur Jones in the fourth.

I see WR as more of a luxury or BAP pick this year. Most teams don't have receiving options like Cotch, Edwards, Keller and LT. Plus next year's draft is shaping up to be the draft of all drafts for WR's.

I kind of agree with this. Our team still needs a slot receiver though...

2011 is loaded with wideouts that have the ability to be elite. We need a role player.

If Braylon Edwards doesn't improve, we'll more than likely see someone like AJ Green, Julio Jones, Jonathan Baldwin, or Mike Floyd on the top of our draft board.

While we have 3 reliable targets in Braylon, Cotch, and Keller, we still need another target to help spread open the field on obvious passing downs. Clowney just wont cut it, and it would only benefit Sanchez and our passing game, which IMO is our biggest weakness on the team.

Do the Eagles WANT Leon? They already have McCoy. I don't really think they make that trade, nor do I think Thomas falls that far. It would be a solid draft, but it doesn't seem too likely.

if they want a 2-back system they can have Leon.

Its not a terrible idea, and it makes for a good hypothetical draft scenario.

as for the WR. I know people are torn on which way to go, but the jets need a 48 catch, 740 yrd, 4 TD guy who gets the 1st down or makes it a 3rd and short by being the checkdown guy.... remember Chansi Stuckey? we need him again. He was a 7th round pick. WR isn't a need that comes close to being as serious as anything on the Defense or OL. Defense and OL need to be addressed in the first 2 rounds and maybe even that 4th rounder.

They HAVE a 2-back system. That's why they picked up Mike Bell.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. And even if they didn't have Bell, who would want a 2 back system with two players of almost the same exact skills?

I could see someone like Houston or 49ers needing Leon more for the 2 back system then the Eagles.

I love this draft! Especially Brandon Lang in the 4th. But would Rex feel comfortable going into the season with just Greene, LT and a 7th round pick in a run-heavy system?

Houston doesn't need a Leon Washington. They need a Ryan Matthews.

I'm not a fan of trading Leon, but the trade itself isn't bad I suppose.. And Earl Thomas might very well be worth it down the line..

As for the picks, I think that's too high for Arthur Jones because of his injury concerns. IMO he'll be around in the 4th round or beyond. But I like him as a prospect.

I like the picks and would be happy.... But - and this is a big one - we need another receiver. Braylon has one year on his contract, the slot has been an issue for the Jets for a while now, and there are some terrific prospects available in the mid rounds.

I would love this scenario. I actually had a dream we traded up for Thomas just recently. He's probably the only player I wouldn't at all mind trading up for.

I forgot about Bell! Shit. Oh well picture a team like the 9ers or Texans trading back with us.

I can't imagine anyone trading for Leon on draft day unless they bring him in before the draft and do a full physical. Way to risky to trade picks for players on draft day without having a chance to do all the homework.

I can't recall many or any players being traded on draft day for picks.
