Andy Levitre over Duke Robinson is kinda a shock as well. Levitre is more mobile and still stout at the point of attack, but Robinson can manhandle guys. I wuold have him far and away the #1 Guard for this draft.

Nicks is going to supprise a ton of people after this draft. I really see hm as a Boldin type guy. Strong hands and a very good route runner. He May not have the upside of DHB or Britt, but will be ready to contribute much sooner.

I'm not surprised. Levitre is a nasty SOB and very strong. Not very tall, but plays thru every play to the whistle. Won't be a Pro-Bowler, but should be a solid Guard for ten years in the league.

No question Robinson has all the talent......but at times is lazy, takes off plays, inconsistent and has shown to have off the field issues. IMO, there are some Red Flags with Duke R, that will have some teams concerned.

He reminds me more of T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Nicks is not quite as physical as Boldin. I haven't seen Nicks in action a heck of a lot, though.

He is every bit as physical as Boldin, I've seen him use his body to shake off defenders many times. T.J Housh is more of a finesse player. The Physical aspect of Nick's game is his strong suit, he will run over people on his way to the endzone. Nicks is a WR with a TE's mentality.

I think this draft is loaded with offensive talent. I think the way to go is grab free agent D and draft O early. The exception is that if Rey Maluaga is there we take him. Grab a free agent S and CB( preferably from Baltimore), then take best talent available. Our biggest need positions on D are CB and DE and I don't see one that will be there worth that pick.

I agree with this sentiment. I think to be honest there just isnt going to be good value at 17 this year. (barring somebody plumetting)

I have decided I want us to trade back to late round one. or even trade back twice, out of round 1, picking up a first in next years draft. It would be an immense thing for us to do. pick up 1-2 second rounders and a first next year? potentially by trading back this year we could get guys like Nicks/ Greene in the second, while getting another first for next year which could be used to package to move up for an elite prospect (QB anyone?) or stand pat and pick up two solid players. with the lack of great value at our needs at 17 the smart money is the trade down this year.

How is there not going to be good value at 17? The big thing about the upcomming draft is it is not the strongest up top. We are lucky to be picking in the later half because the talent level of player will match up much better with the contract they are goign to get.

We should have several players available that would merrit a pick at that point. Depending on how the draft shakes out we could be looking toward a top end QB, WR, DL, OLB, or RB sitting there for the taking. I don;t see us trading down unless someone really wants to move up and pulls off a good deal for Tanny.

There will be good value, but IMO mostly at LB and Offense. Point is, seems like a good year for backs and recievers. I don't want to reach for a DE or CB even though they are our most immediate need.

QB is the only one I agreed on 100%

I think some of these draft guys make random unjustified picks just to seem "unique".

agreed, he is stout and powerful, I like him alot and he can lay a hurting on DBs as well as juke them out, Housh is more of a great route runner/finesse, without the big speed

If Orakpo fell to 17 how would he fit in our system?
