Wow that is a lot of tragedies for someone so young. I'm surprised they didn't mention it in the article. It would have added another layer of depth to it.

Maybin has a daughter, Tacori, who was born in July 2010. She was born shortly after his son was stillborn. Maybin's cousin, Cameron is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the San Diego Padres.

I couldn't imagine the horror of having a child stillborn. That's gotta be such an awful feeling and I'm sure as parents you feel so much guilt because your going to feel like it was something you did or didn't do that caused this. Many years ago my wife had a miscarriage and I know how terrible I felt only 2 months into the pregnancy so going nearly full term and something like this is crushing.

That's awful, and something that people should never go through. He will get even more cheers than he has all season.

He has become one of my top 3 favorite Jets honestly. I love his desire, and he seems very humble.

Al Toon has a newspaper now? nice

Touching story...... Fortunate enough to never have had to experience something like that. Props to the kid and like others said, more of a reason to root for his success.
