what the hell happend to all of our picks... people cant honestly be happy with this.... we filled not even half our void on offense and defense... make some sense of this please let me know what you all think of this draft so far...
Why are people saying this was a horrible draft by the Jets....? You can say it after we have seen Revis and Harris on the field. For now, shut up.
This draft is very strong. We got Thomas Jones, the best CB in the draft and a first round talent level starter in Harris. Three likely starters for us. That is an awesome draft. Some had Harris mid-first round, but like Ryans last year ILB are slipping in terms of absolute value.
Quit bitching... Those were 2 GREAT picks... Kiper had David Harris going #12 to Buffalo. Revis was the draft's top corner. All we need is a young offensive lineman and a reciever. Who knows, we might trade Barton, Barrett or McCariens?
You cannot expect a team to draft more then 3 immediate fixes in the draft, we got two on day 1. Tomorrow, who knows what we do, we may trade some players for picks, we may not, either way this draft aint half bad.
not saying we had to fill every hole in one draft.. but we did give up alot to get 2 guys dont you think.... i mean for all of that talk we been hearing over the weeks about we need this that etc... OL pass rusher dt and so on thats a way to waste picks... why not just go hard in FA and get some players that would of mad a difference.
Don't get down in the dumps over it. The Redskins didn't pick until the 8th round in 1972 and they made it to the Super Bowl. Furthermore, that was back in a time when the draft was more important than it is today what with free agency.
another thing werent people complaining that johnathen vilma was to small to play in the 3-4 defense.. now tell me why draft a clone of vilma 6'1 230lbs david harris 6'2 242lbs isnt that the same exact thing we have there but minus the big Dt in the middle
You can't say this is the worst draft ever when YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THESE GUYS ON THE FIELD OR EVEN SEEN DAY 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU MAKE THE STATEMENT THAT THIS IS THE WORST DRAFT CLASS EVER WHEN DAY 1 ISN'T OVER??????????? Quit posting this bullshit and get out
It's more than height and weight......... David Harris is a "thumper" in the middle and is a great 3-4 fit.. Why do you think he's been linked to New England and San Diego so much?
They are not as similar as you think. Harris is a more physical player. Vilma has more range and is not as good of a hitter.
Calm down man.... First off this is a forum and I could post stuff without getting you all uptight.. Second I said Maybe the worst draft and in my statement I said let me know what yall think of the draft so far so I was asking for your views thats all
I wasn't as near mad as the capital letters might suggest... I don't see how you can consider this as potentially one of the worst drafts ever when we haven't even seen who we drafted yet. That's pretty ignorant...
LEts look at this. Our weaknesses going into the offseason. RB, CB, ILB, OL, DL. Right???????????? Well we got Thomas Jones for trading back in rd 2. Check. We got Revis in rd 1 the best corner in the draft, Check. We got a LB compared to last years rookie of the year Demarco Ryans and was slated to go to Buffalo in rd 1. Check. Ok we did not adress OL and DL. But we did bring in Coleman who I expect BIG things and I really believe Micheal Haynes is going to be a sleeper for us. Also I know the Jets were raving about Blanton and Goddard maybe they feel one of those guys can take a spot on the OLINE. One more thing I hate giving up tons of picks BUT, by the time the steelers were picking in rd 2 it was fairly obvious the talent was drying up fast and you almost had to make a move like that to get Harris. Just look at the talent at 63 and in the third there was nothing there, maybe Beekman ( who I loved but I rather have Harris).
Thank you for reminding us we got a RB in there..... That is something many of us overlook. We also drastically improved our running game and overall offense.
