Gotta love those cigarette commercials - very jarring when you first see them. And I love how Kyle Rote keeps referring to the blitz as the "red dog" - I hadn't heard that term in at least 30 years when I got to see SB III again. What made it even better was that he kept using it in sentences like "Namath picks up the red dog again, and completes it to Sauer for a first down."

    Oh, and happy birthday, Joe.

Yep, red dog was the original terminology.

What is this DVD you all speak of? Can it be found in stores? Or is this just some collector trading thing where somebody converted an old tape to DVD and if I were to pay for it the NFL's Men In Black would show up at my house, slap me and take the DVD away?

I think it's on EBay, I have a VHS version but the qualty is pretty good considering it's been about 37 years.

I also always laugh when I see the high school band doing the halftime show; no glitz and flying Janet boobs back then...

Happy Birthday Joe! Hopefully you have a computer and aren't one of those old people that are afraid of technology, then you may be reading this, in which case I might have just offended you.

    A great day indeed!

My daughter turns 6 today and I was more than pleased when I found out she shares a birthday with Joe Willie.

    Happy B-Day Joe!
Thanks for the garauntee, trophy and the Suzy Kolber comment;(back to the transcript)

Suzy Kolber: Joe, it's been a tough season for Jets fans. What does it mean to you now that the team is struggling?

Joe Namath: I wanna kiss you. I couldn't care less about the team struggling. What we know is we can improve. Chad Pennington, our quarterback, missed the first part of the season, and we struggled. We're looking to next season, we're looking to make a noise now and ... I wanna kiss you!

SK: Thanks Joe! I'll take that as a huge compliment ... [Namath in background: YEAH!!!!] Joe Namath, part of the four-decade team. We'll see these guys at halftime.
