Terrel Sands DT from Oakland= This is has to be the main guy of the offseason. He is 6ft7 and 330 pds. I have seen him play, the kid takes up a lot of space and blockers. Will allow DRob to move over to DE.

Leonard Davis or Langston Walker= Both are beast of mountains. Sign one of these guys long term. They are both young and they open HUGE HOLES.

Lock up our own guys. Hobson and Cotchery.

    NFL Draft
1st Jarvis MossOLB from FLA= Is a man child.
2nd Greg Olson TE from MIA= Will surprise people will lead the Jets to use two TE Sets.
2nd Micheal Bush RB from Louiseville= Is a beast. He is not Ron Dayne. He is smart and tough.
3rd Craig Davis WR from LSU= Coles is getting up in age we need a complement for Cotchery.

Eh... I'm not crazy with a TE there. I'd be OK with everything else..

TE is a position we need to upgrade.

I kinda like this plan-- I just read on sands-- guy is HUGE! I agree that this guy needs to be our #1 target. This position is very hard to fill with a quality player. He is 27- and can probably play well into his 30's at a high level. 3-4 lineman are hard to find- and when you see one at 27 just hitting his prime, you have to sign him. Corners, pass rushers and runningbacks can all be found in the draft-- 3-4 lineman are hard to find, and will take more time to develop than a passrusher, or a RB.

The problem with Sands is that he's way to tall to play nose tackle. If you look at all the good nose tackles they are all on the shorter side for a defensive tackle. They need to play low so that they can get leverage on the offensive lineman. Just because someone is big and fat doesn't mean they will be a good nose tackle. Look at Rashad Moore...

And I agree with the tight end pick, this off season they will definitely get another TE.

Too tall to be a nose tackle? But he already is a nose tackle!! Why do I want to look at Rashad Moore to prove to me that Sands can't play when I can look right at Sands to see that he can play.

So just because he is too tall automatically means he sucks? i would love to see Sands in green & white in 07

yes thats what it means. sands right now is in a 4-3. its ok for taller nose tackles in a 4-3, but not in a 3-4. 3-4 tackles need to be short and wide, not at all tall. if he was 6'1-335, perfect.

Oakland runs a 3-4 -- do you not watch football? Did you not watch when we played Oakland?

Sands is not too tall to be a 3-4 tackle. Just because he is 6-7 that means he cannot take up space and two blockers. That makes no sense to me.

its possible, but its just hard for a 6-7 guy to get leverage against opponents. causing them to get pushed back.
