    Thats down right ingenius by detroit, and it should be exactly what all top picks are required to sign if they wont institute a rookie cap. That way teams aren't on the hook for 20 and 30 and now 41 million dollars because they sucked tail the previous year.

    I think Detroit should have taken Aaron Curry, the closest thing to a can't miss prospect since Carson Palmer. I bet Detroit would have been happy taking Curry if Stafford didn't take what they gave him. And Stafford has to be happy going to the team with the most athletically gifted WR in the league, one who regularly bailed out a horrendous QB in college.

    with Sanchez's brother leading the talks and Stafford setting the pedigree for guranteed money, this could benefit the jets!
