Check out @karlabramson’s Tweet: Didn't want this to get lost in the HC mega thread. Seems quite likely since this will be the 2nd interview, if we could also land Monken as OC.......
Wouldnt excite me in the least.Ill support him..but ill fully expect to see aCJ & a new GM back in this same embarassing predicament in 3 years which will be 2 years too late
I could pontificate and demean McCarthy (who I'm sure you're referring to) all day but it's rather simple. The NFL is in a state of offensive transition where 400 yard games are the norm and OCs are having to be quite creative. McCarthy hasn't evolved with the times, he's Brian Billick, Jeff Fisher, John Fox. The league has passed him up and this new change is moving faster than ever.
Entry level = nice & cheap apparently how Woody likes 'em. After close to 20 years of team ownership it'd be nice to see him spend a bit more to get a experienced HC in here.
Anyone know who this guy is? Why another topic BTW? A potential twitter amatuer shouldn't warrant a topic should it?
Hard sell..and i dont think any fans will buy into this crap. This could turn into Houston 94 real quickly
Rhule is no better offensively, he built his temple teams on ground and pound and his Baylor team this year was also lowly ranked in the passing game at 85th in S&P. Including bottom 10 in FBS in redzone success. his offense is not explosive nor innovative. If you don't want mccarthey for stale offense you can't say you want rhule
Anyone care to explain why we should care if Rhule gets the HC job? I honestly have no knowledge on him
1. Didn't need a separate thread... 2. I hope this is more twitter bullshit because I do not see how this places any priority on developing our franchise QB.
To be fair, Baylor is transitioning into having pro concepts then what they use to have so he's Ben getting his guys and players while adopting Baylor into a totally new system. If Rhule is that leader, he MUST grab top assistants to help him adopt to the NFL...we will see.
And what in Rhule's hiistory screams "offensive guru"? He' essentially a run-first/defense guy. So I guess he's perfect for Jets.
This woukd throw me over the edge.Bring in a novice, bring in an asshole..bring somebody out of retirement.. I cant watch ground & pound offense anymore.Enough pushing an aggressive passing offense to the wayside.
Not a clue who this Karl Abramson is. Jets Twitter is in on the fun tho with #ImWithKarl hashtags lol.
Fjay = EXACTLY. They will be hit hard if they do not hit a Home Run but if they make matters worse passing on a proven HC in McCarthy = OH MY the fallout will be stupid
If this guy is hired I’m done watching jets football. I’ll still be a fan but there is no way I’m sitting down every Sunday for another three years. It has nothing to do with him being a run first guy, I believe in a balanced team, as a matter of fact the top 8 rushing teams in the NFL made the playoffs this year, once again showing how important the run game is. It’s more of the OTJT he has to do, can’t do this for three years man. I knew Mac was going to push the guy who doesn’t make him look stupid. Mcarthy going to CJ in this separate role of accountability was a threat to Mac. I’ll simply read about them like @WarriorRB28.
