Newsday's Bob Glauber reports that the Jets and Cowboys could soon show interest in free agent Matt Jones.

Dallas is an obvious fit because Matt and Jerry Jones are Arkansas alums and the Cowboys might have a wideout need after cutting T.O. Jerry doesn't feel that way, though, and it's doubtful Jones will end up in Big D. The Jets could use competition for Chansi Stuckey, David Clowney, and Brad Smith opposite Jerricho Cotchery. Jones shouldn't cost much more than $1 million. Mar. 19 - 10:53 am et

Isn't he going to be suspended?

If he shaves off that porno-stache and stops doing stupid shit like snorting coke off of urinals and drunk driving, then why the hell not? He'll come in cheap.

He probably won't be able to find any blow in NYC.

That said, I'd take a flyer on him for the right price.

The guy has an addiction to drugs. If he gets in rehab and cleans himself up then he deserves another chance just like anyone else IMO.

If you can get him on the cheap then I'd do it.

He is huge and can run and is young. Jax is mainly a running team so it has been hard to get a good gauge on him.

The limited action I've seen him he looked pretty good.

the dude is 6'6...if I remember correctly he ran blazing 40's coming out...if Rex can get him straight, for no more than 1 mil...def. give him a shot in my opinion...it also gives us more flexibility come draft time, and IF for some reason we get Cutler and give up picks...we have a WR, a former first round pick

He may be suspended for violating the terms of his parole and spending time in jail. Although his number from last year are hard to ignore.

    last years numbers:
    Games played 12
    Receptions 65
    Yards 761
    Yards per catch 11.7
    Yards per game 63.4

Which would translate to 87 catches and 1014 yards in 16 games
