This season I will be keeping my eye on a bunch of college prospects who could fit into our schemes next year. They range from RBs to WRs to DEs to NTs etc. etc.

Yesterday I watched the Cal-Tennessee game (painfully) and had my eye on Lynch. He had a couple nice runs but Tennessee was able to completely take him (and Forsett) out of the game. Not good for a potential 1st rounder. Could he be another product of Jeff Tedford's Denver like system for Running Backs? He didn't show me anything yesterday that made me want him on the Jets. Thoughts?

Yeah, Slaton he looked good but that offense is so high powered which helps a lot

He had 33 carries, in the first game of the season, and he's a sub 200 pound back... if this continues Rich R. is going to get him killed...

Have to agree on that, he's so used to backs like Quincy Wilson that he only knows to run em till they drop. PLus, it's not like Pat White's QB skills are rapidly developing, so they need to run the ball a ton.

As for Lynch, he terrifies me. I want to believe that he's not just another product of a questionable system, but with JJ Arrington's abysmal failure in the NFL, and the fact that a smart Defense can completely shutdown both he and Forsett, there's reason to be concerned. He still has dynamite speed and is getting bigger/stronger, but I would not be shocked to see other backs sneak by him come draft time. That said, he'll probably shred USC or something to the tune of 250 and 2 TDs, and I'll forget all about this, but I wanted to get it on record.

Yeah Cal has produced so many numbers at RB that it is hard to take them seriously. Lynch is a player I have high on my list of potential Jets so this opened my eyes.

The only RBs i would be interested in drafting next year (as of now) are Adrian Peterson (if he declares) in the 1st round. Darius Walker (if he declares) and the Alabama RB who's name i can't think of in the second round.

Kenneth Darby is Bama's RB. I really like Darby and he should be available for the Jets in Rd 2. Darby is a great kid with tons of ability The way John Parker Wison was throwing the ball against Hawaii, Darby may not get as many carries this season. Hawaii really came back and almost pulled out the game at the end.

To say the least......Shula is not one of my favorite HCs. Bama alsways seems to underachieve with Shula running the show.

I'm not really looking to draft a RB in the first next year, but gotta scout them a little bit just to be safe.
