Not that this excuses Mark or anything but it is interesting to know....

(BTW, I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here by posting a New Thread. I'm still a noob here. )

Just more excuses for the Sanchez apologists.

Hurt or not there is no excuse besides him sucking and throwing three interceptions into a LINEBACKER'S hands

Favre played hurt and ruined our season, too. Lack of a quality back up and ego/pride probably made both of them feel it was needed to help the team.

So who would you rather have under center?

Please try and give an intelligent response.

I'm not surprised by this at all.

Roethlisberger played like a HoF QB that he is tonight.

    *He has high ankle sprain.*

Ankle sprains are different than a hurt throwing shoulder.

    Care to explain?

Why do you think throwing off the back foot is so prone to interceptions?

The O-line treated him like a rag doll, so yeah, no doubt he played hurt.

Its a different injury. The ball comes out of your hand not from your foot. Having an injured shoulder would be a lot harder to play with than a leg.

Its like baseball if a pitcher has an ankle sprain he still pitches if he has a shoulder injury he is shut down.

it was obvious to anybody with eyes that Mark was playing with a pinched nerve in his neck or some other painful injury that inhibited his throwing motion over the last 6 weeks of the season

Playing with injuries is part of the game, and Sanchez didn't do it particularly well.

All the more reason why we need a real backup QB next season.

Favre had the consecutive starts thing going. Mangini couldn't sit him even if that would have been the best thing with only Kellen Clemens and Brad Smith behind him on the depth chart.

this is something we talked about last week. i as a sanchez detractor do give him alot of credit for being tough and coming back time and time again.

however i still dont see him as a solid starting qb.

First thing I thought when seeing Sanchez in action was he looked kind of fragile. I was afraid he would get injured easily. Instead he is tough as nails.

We were lucky he didn't have his arm come out of his shoulder socket several times. So this doesn't surprise me. No excuses for playing poorly, though.
