tell whoever runs the info paragraph for my service provider that Eric Mangini is no longer is on Jets Open Mic. I hit info the other day and the paragraph reads "Jets Coach Eric Mangini...." WTF, tell Fios or SNY to change that shit. Its disrespectful to Rex Ryan.
figured. They don't even tell you which Top 10 countdown NFL Network is showing, while DirecTV tells you in the guide without hitting info. I miss my direcTV. Go yell at Fios again.
I thought it was interesting when he said that during his 5 int game he did not know how to stop it or what to think. But to his credit he also said that Callahan and BS were helping him to slowly put the pieces together on managing the game, I'm really happy Callahan is involved in his development.
Callahan seems to be the man behind the curtain. I wish he was the man in charge of the offense. The dude made Rich Gannon an MVP. And Sanchez has the talent around him like Gannon did.
"bye week couldn't end soon enough." wow, he loves football. he looked at him taking care of the football really well, taking from that film and looking at the two bad games he's had. He thinks the jets are the best 4-4 team around (they are) The DVD- (plenty of articles on this) - Montana was on it, then Sanchez highlights, what he did well and it reminded him how confident he can play, how hard he worked, and how to get the guys around him to play better. Likes the running game. Helps him a lot. Likes how he throws on the run. Mentions mental toughness, understands that losses happen in the NFL unlike at usc . (experience is all this kid needs. we as fans have to know that) knows he can have a higher passing percentage (its known for going way up after the rookie season). Cold weather - Just get used to the elements. Has gotten advice from old QBs on how to do that. More time in the weather, practicing mechanics in the cold. I love this kid. He's going to be great as long as he's protected.
Just watched the re-run: Says he went home to Cali; played with some former teammates and coaches, hung out with family, relaxed, etc. During Bye: look at film, evaluated himself; tried to focus on the positive things he's done thus far (like that article on Rex showing him what he's done well). Says the DVD Rex gave him was surprising at first bc he thought he was already being compared to Joe Montana, but when he saw his clips, it fired him up and made him realize why he's the QB of the Jets and what his purpose is. Says his confidence has never waned, but there have been times where he didn't know how to react to his poor performances (e.g. Buffalo). Said Tannenbaum posted a list of QBs who have thrown 5 INTs in a game to show him that it has happened before and that he'll bounce back from it. Praised the OL and running game. Says short-term memory is important. 11-1/12-0 that he had at USC is not what it's like in the NFL. Improve upon: easy completions; feels he's better than 53% and wants to complete around 60% by season's end. On weather: go out before/after practice (if practice is indoors) to get used to the elements, as advised by Boomer Esiason and Trent Dilfer.
