Mark Pavelich was found dead at the age of 63 at a mental health facility in Minnesota. He was living at the facility after being found incompetent to stand trial for assault against a neighbor in 2019. Pavelich had a history of concussions in the NHL, and his family believes that he might have suffered from CTE. He had an assist on Mike Eruzione's game-winning goal against the Soviets in the 1980 Olympics. RIP. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id...er-miracle-ice-olympic-hockey-team-found-dead
He was a really good player. One of those guys who had near perfect balance and would make a move now and then that was just amazing. The Rangers used him on the point on the power play for awhile because his vision of the play in front of him was so good and he was very accurate with his passes down low.
