link Tony La Russa was expected to return as the Cardinals' skipper, but he could have a new hitting coach in slugger Mark McGwire. According to ESPN.com's Buster Olney, La Russa has signed a multi-year contract to return. But Hal McRae will not return as the Cardinals hitting coach and will be replaced by McGwire. "We're getting closer," La Russa told ESPN.com on Sunday. "But nothing has been decided yet. I can't tell you anything yet." La Russa's two-year, $8.5 million contract expires at the end of the month.
Alright guys, today we're going to work on putting needles in our asses and getting way more jacked than any baseball player could ever be naturally, ever.
You beat everyone to the punch right there. I had a solid steroids-lesson joke all ready in my head. Hah.
Yeah, the roid jokes will go on for a while, but I think he'll do just fine. The Cards hitting was kinda stale at the end of the year, they needed a change. He's already been instructing hitters in the offseason with success. Regardless of his career and PEDs, he's a good guy.
