(Not sure if this has been posted) For all of you that want Marcus Vick (and I understand the number is dwindling), his score on the wonderlick test leaves a LOT to be desired. If you thought that VY's score of 15 (after the retest) was bad, Vick's was worse: an 11. From Espn Insider: "The official scores from the Wonderlic Tests taken at the combine were released. As usual, there were some interesting results. Texas QB Vince Young did indeed take the test twice. The league has been tight-lipped regarding his first score, but the higher score of his two attempts was a 15. Young's score was bad, but not the worst of this year's quarterback class. That honor goes to Virginia Tech's Marcus Vick, who scored an 11 on the test. A perfect score is 50, and the highest score any player posted in this year's class was a 41 (Oklahoma DT Dusty Dvoracek). The lowest score of this year's class was an eight (Syracuse DE Kader Drame, Alabama ILB Freddie Roach, Louisville DT Montavious Stanley, N.C. State TE T.J. Williams and Oklahoma DC Chijioke Onyenegecha), and the average score of all the quarterbacks was a 24.6. The Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT) is a short-form intelligence test that measures players' ability to think on their feet, follow directions and make effective decisions under pressure. While Young and Vick exposed their weaknesses in those areas, other quarterbacks shined. Grambling's Bruce Eugene (41), Montana State's Travis Lulay (37), USC's Matt Leinart (35) and Oregon's Kellen Clemens (35) all posted impressive scores. "
I know I saw this before he's a rocket scientist also..It is amazing..Are these guys that stupid..I thought college was tough..in ways..WTF are these guys majoring in?
I know Vick is in some kind of business major because I had a class with him in the fall. He was there about once every three to four classes. But in his defense you could have skipped every class and still gained the same amount of knowledge by just reading the notes online.
lol @ you guys acting like your shock? did any of you think he was really anything else but dumb? i realize that after he was sleepin with 16 yr olds
no surprise there, a ton of college athletes could care less about academics. i know someone who used to play for rutgers and he told me that the coaches would give him the answers to all the tests, term papers, etc... he wouldnt have to go to class unless there was an assignment due
http://espn.go.com/page2/s/closer/020228test.html this is an example of the questions on the wonderlic test from espn.com You have to be mentally retarted to score an 11. The wonderlic is like the CAT tests you take in elementary school its nothing you learn in college.
Just to get one thing straight. The difference between Young and Vick is that one actually makes good decisions on the field, and the other makes horrific choices in every aspect of his life.
How do you like Virginia Tech? I applied there, and I visited my friend there for the BC football game, and he loves it. I doubt I go there, but I'm just curious. As for the thread: if you needed a Wonderlic test to show that Vick was dumb, then you're not very bright either.
I have a freind that went to a school in California for Lacrosse and he got his tests, with answers given a week before the test date, it was a Div 2 school, he came home after 2 seasons because he was paralysed while wrestling with a teammate at a party, broke his neck on the edge of a waterbed
