If he is there (The 2nd round now), is this a guy the Jets should go after? I know that he has the off of the field issues, but when was the last time that meant anything in the league?

Hell, Louis Castillo admitted to steroid use and ends up going in the first round (Chargers); for those who want to know, he was dimissed from UF because he did not meet his requirements in terms of the drug and alcohol classes that he was supposed to attend. Also, he went to Universal Studios on Halloween and and missed curfew (another condition in his appeal).

Finally, he is officially out of college ball, as he is a senior and does not have anymore eligibility. So, he is now signing with The Empire Sports Agency and will just prepare himself for the Senior Bowl now. Any thoughts?

people will throw around the now infamous phrase "mangini guy". i wouldnt point to castillo though to compare him to. steroids are for people who usually care so much about their performance they cheat. marcus thomas appears to be the type whos bored and cant seem to be dedicated enough to cut it. he came back from suspension and just didnt do what it took to made sure he stayed on the field.

instead of realizing his talent and putting on a show for the country the rest of the season, he just got lazy and figured what you said. "failed tests dont mean anything, I'm good enough to go in the first round".

he just seems like the type whos alert that talent can cause people to overlook character, so instead of trying to clean his slate hes just going to try to make people forget about his immaturity through the combine.

im not worried about him getting busted for pot, but the fact he couldnt even abide by the terms of his suspension shows a lack of awareness and dedication that he couldve probably been a top 15 pick this offseason.

Fall to the second round? He'll be falling to Antajj Hawthorne territory. Kicked out of school is a bad deal.
