He's a damn good player & yes I'd take him to pair w. a FA Corner like Fuller,Breeland or Johnson. That said I wonder if he fits what Bowles wants. He's 6 foot & physical..but is he tall w. enough length for what Bowles seems to be going for?
If the Chiefs are making Peters available, that could be a red flag ala Holmes and the Steelers in 2010. Buyer beware.
The last thing the Jets need to bring into a locker room going through as much change as theirs is is a head case like this guy. Pass.
Wouldn't give up a pick for him but would consider him if released. Remember his meltdown vs the Jets. Thought he was ejected, then when he found out he wasn't came back to the field, without his shoes and sat the rest of the game.
man he's a super talented player and would fit with Bowles system very well......but seems a bit of a loose canon. i might trade for him, but probably not at the price KC would want for a 25yr old elite corner.
a trade can change a player, Marcus Peters is enticing, for a 4th round pick I would take him off the Chiefs hands, maybe even a 3rd. I'll give you a 4th this year and a 5th next. Call it a day
I don't believe that KC will trade Peters. That said I'd trade the 2nd we got from Seattle for Richardson. Figure MP is worth at least that prob more. He has a very team friendly deal. If traded he would only count just over 1.7 against the cap with a 5th year team option left on his rookie contract.
Seeing as Jason LaCanfora is the one reporting this, I highly doubt he is. LaCanfora is notoriously wrong and this is just an example of him throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks, all because Kansas City signed David Amerson to a 1 year deal and traded for Kyle Fuller. I'm not sure how that signals trading one of the best CB's in the game. Do they want to bring back Revis so he can let RB's into the endzone and have WR's like Jermaine Kearse look like Jerry Rice against him for a full season this time? I doubt it.
no more than a 4th hes a hothead and a good player, which means he's going to want to be paid. We can afford it, but it makes no sense to waste assets on someone that may not work out in the long run.
You need to ask yourself why a player of his talent level is available. Its most likely the same reason he fell in the draft. Peters is a head case that causes issues for his team. There is no way KC would unload him if that was not still true.
