This is definitely not one of our biggest needs but imagine drafting this guy with our 2nd round pick. He's projected as a pass rushing OLB in a 3-4 and has freakish athletic abilities. He could potentially play a role like the Jets wanted to use Abe for. I know we have bigger needs to tackle, but I can't help but think that this guy deserves a look.

He could be there with our 22nd or 29th pick

    yea...he's the real deal

i know this could be overkill, but if we could get a nt free agency, we could draft mario williams 4 and manny lawson 22/29 and have the NC State Tandem flying off the edges at olb in the 3-4 with vilma and hobson in the middle. Our D would be ridiculously good for the next few years barring injuries

Actually , the more I think about it the more I think that if we picked Lawson with a later first/early second it would fit perfectly into our team plans. It'd be like trading disgruntled EXPENSIVE Abe for Manny Lawson an up and coming star that'd be a hell of a lot cheaper. I think i'd take that gamble and sign the steelers d end for run support. While not the biggest need it is not like we'd be using one of our original picks to pick him (assuming we get one of the broncos picks). Granted there'd be a decent chance we didn't end up with Mangold, but there are other o line alternatives (eslinger). Go with best available o lineman in the second round and i think this draft is shaping up. Lawson, Vilma, Hobson, Barton would be nice for a long time to come.
