Between the Draft and Free Agency who do you think could be a good man cover CB? By what skills do you define a man cover CB instead of a zone scheme one? I'm sorry but it's just one year i've been following football and the Jets! From what i've seen we could go after J. Greer or L. Bodden in FA or A. Smith or D. Butler in the draft (i'm thinking 2nd round)...
welcome to the sport... you'll find yourself following all year long, and you will be looked a funny in june when you are excited about Training Camp. Its a good thing though, they don't get it. A man corner can press up on a receiver and run with him, and understands the routes a WR runs and can anticipate his moves. It is harder to find a man corner than a zone corner. Revis and Asomougha are great man corners... Ronde Barber is a great zone corner.
Ps actually everyone looks funny at me when I talk about Football because nobody here in Italy doesn't know anything... so June won't be that much different
Leigh Bodden is an example of a man corner who struggled in zone coverage with Detroit. We should consider picking him up.
