Does anyone else have the problem when in the Free Agent Signing part of the offseason there are a ton of big name players on the market. I signed Chad Johnson, Rudi Johnson, Fred Beasley, and Todd Heap all in one offseason. In last year's game there were usually no big name players in Free Agency, which was annoying.

Yes, it's ridiculous. I had Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Todd Heap and Alge Crumpler as Free Agents recently... What the hell?

And also, I don't like the scouting of players method this year. You can only choose 7 and if you don't get a golden trophy in one of the drills, you get no information.

I sim my seasons and like to do the offseason crap.

Shaun Ellis had a sick season, and boasted his overall to 99. I traded him and a pick to New Orleans for Reggie Bush.

At this point, I have no D-Line. Ok, fine.

Free Agency comes around. I sign John Abraham and Shaun Rogers. Awesome line. Next offseason rolls around, I sign Julius Peppers.

Got some LB help too, so at the end of 2 seasons, my front 7 is Vilma at 99, Barton at 96, Brad Kassel 89, and Hobson at 84. D-Line... Abraham 97, Rogers 99, Peppers 99.

It wasn't even fair for the other teams. Justin Miller has went to 94 overall in 2 seasons for me too. He's insane.

i picked up Byron Leftwhich, Randy Moss, Matt Wiener (93 RT), Aaron Schobel (93), Shaun Rogers (99), Nate Clements

and i drafted a running back who will break EVERY first tackle and is a 93 speed, i drafted another RB who is an 87 ovr and a 97 speed with 98 juke with the idea of trading him

it is unreal how many big name players you can get

(i tried to develop clemens but he threw way too many picks and i cant stand chad cause i need a qb with arm strength to zip it in there)

--------anyone else have a problem with D'Brick?? he gets like 999999 false start or holding penalties a game, i hate it, i almost benched him

yea, for me ellis, vilma and miller went up alot, ellis quickly to 99, vilma 99, and i have miller at a 91, (clemens at CB1 with a 97, nickelback is Barret with 90)

i tried to possibly get robertson up but he just plain sucks so i also added shaun rogers as said above

i switched some positions around so now my starting 3 LBs are Kassel, Vilma, Barton...all 90+'s

yea, i really think the game has a lot of work to do beforte it becomes a REALISTIC franchise but then again...where would all the fun be if it was realistic?

Maddens realism gets worse every year for their offseasons. First of all, every player is rated higher than they should be IMO. Second its too easy in free agency to get a star player, because the cpu doesnt fight that hard to beat you out for a player. Third, while I like seeing some superstars in the Free Agency for aquisitions for my own teams sake, it's unrealistic that players like Tony Gonzalez will ever be cut by the Chiefs.

Free agency is a joke...just wait till all the teams have signed their players and then pick up all the rookies rated 75 and higher...theres two full backs that have an 80 overall rating and they've never played...i remember if you had the no 1 pick in the draft you were happy if he was rated 75 which was far more realistic

Yeah I remembered that, I remember cheering if I got an 80 rated player in the first round of the draft in Madden 2002. Now you can get that in the 4th round easily. I always used to remember players in the 70's were mediocre starters and/or rookies, and that decent players were in the 80's and only the top 5 of each position would earn a 90 rating. Now everyones rated high 80's/ low 90's and it doesnt make it difference when you compare players. By giving everyone in the game a high rating you see the big difference between players like Chad Johnson and Randel El.

Jason Avant (an undrafted WR) is a 75 in the game.

I just traded for him with the Eagles, because he is a guy i really wanted the Jets to draft in real life after 5 rounds.

First play, (shotgun, 4 WR set, Slants) i roll out with Kellen Clemens, and complete the pass to Avant. He breaks one tackle and is gone for a 60 yard TD

It takes the enjoyment away, for example 2001 or 2002 you could pick Ryan Leaf up in free agency and he was like 66ovr but it was fun making him your starter and trying to be competetive with him.

The favoutite ever game was a Ravens franchise, he was my qb and i was 26/26 with him for over 250 yards until the game crashed which was a bastard because i've never come close to having the perfect game since

I hear you..J D Runnels jumps from 80ovr to 88ovr after one season if you get him involved...he's like the best Full back in the game after one season and he's undrafted plus teams dont sign him because he's a rookie
