heads up http://www.pastapadre.com/2009/09/09/madden-10-patch-1-details#more-10343 The details of the first patch for Madden 10 are now out thanks to a FAQ video posted by Ian Cummings on the Inside EA Blog. The patch is currently in certification and could be out as early as next week. The second patch which will be more concentrated on gameplay feedback is currently in the works. This first patch is even more significant in that it has addressed some areas that normally wouldn?t have been in a release day patch as well as adding new content with the inclusion of the broadcast camera angle. I?m definitely most excited to finally play without the concern of holding on field goals which has cost me points, victories, and unneeded stress! Continue on to read the list of fixes and additions includes in the first patch for Madden 10 and leave your thoughts in the comments! * Added Super Bowl and Playoff field conditions in Online Franchise * Fixed false start griefing issue with online games * Fixed video player issues (sometimes video would hang) in Online area * Improved quality of uploaded video highlights * Switched ranked online games to seven minute quarters * Random stability fixes * Added broadcast camera * Tuned slider effectiveness * Made fatigue affect ratings more * Tuned broken tackle chances * Reduced/removed holding on kick attempts * Improved-toe drag catch logic * General pursuit improvements * Man coverage improvements * Fixed double pass online exploit
Yeah, I'm starting to believe it's something that they're just going to ride out. I saw the video and he mentions that the accelerated clock is an issue as well. I understand what you're saying. Problem is, if my play clock (coming off the play-calling screen) is down to about :12 left, I don't even think about motioning my WR. U won't get the play off on time if you motion. I'd like to have enough time to motion, set, reset, and run a play. In order to actually get something like this off, you'd need at least 15+ seconds with your team already lined up. Otherwise, it just doesn't work. But, like I said, I guess that will bring on more problems in other games and so on.
I still wish we had some more teams in the AFC, it's boring playing the computer every week. I think I have like 3 games the rest of the season against real players.
This isn't our League thread and I don't think they can provide a patch for that. You just gotta hope the more people that join, pick up AFC teams.
I do like the false start fix. I've gotten more false starts playing AT HOME in my home crowd, than playing away. When I play home, I get all the false start calls and the CPU doesn't. I thought they integrated home advantage in Madden last year. They said, home field will now be more of an advantage, and so will weather. Weather delivered. Still waiting on the home advantage tho.
that holding bug was ridiculous. At one point I had three holding calls in a row and was too far away to make a field goal. Glad they fixed it......... They should also tighten the kick returns. Almost every game has atleast one.
Can they fix it so you don't get fucking sacked before you can even hand the ball off? If it's in the game.
I think its even more annoying when you play action and your QB runs right past a DE, but the DE attracts to the quarterback like a magnet.
The worst for me is when the RB randomly does one of three things on a screen pass: either stops for no reason before continuing to the flat, gets tangled with the blockers, or runs back toward the QB to catch the ball instead of waiting for it to reach him.
ugh, I hate that shit. How about when they catch the ball and it's like they're in fucking quicksand? Fastest guy on the field easily gets run down by a fat fucking DT.
I think the problem with that is that you're already hitting the speed button as soon as he gets the ball. You have to begin running before you can sprint. Either way, it's fucking dumb. But I get what you're saying. That happens to me too.
