DId anybody else buy the AFL package? It gives you the away NY Titans uni and logos on the field. Awesome. The refs where those orange/red and whites. The game presentation is different too. Pretty kick ass. The playbook looks like the original Madden. Coaches and fans will also be in the Titans unis and colors.
I will never pay anything extra to EA especially the way they left stuff out that used to be included in a $60 game. ..even though I only paid $30 it's still just insane what EA is doing to it's customers
I have 2 questions about Madden 10. 1. How can you get some length out of your FGs? I can't get Feely to touch anything over 50. Would lowering or raising the arrow help? 2. When rushing, does holding turbo reduce the effectiveness of jukes and cuts and spins? Should I wait till I'm thru the line to hit it?
1)Feely has low kick power compared to real life, unfortunately, especially if you're playing All-Pro or All-Madden. Pro difficulty settings depicts it accurately, imo. Play around with the sliders a little bit if you'd like. 2) Usually I wait till i see a hole in the offensive line and burst through it.
lowering the arrow will help you get some more distance. it is believed by many that using the turbo early in the run causes you blockers to do stupid things and also causes cpu controlled defenders to shed blocks very quickly. i have tried out not using turbo until i am through the line and it did seem to improve my run game.
really depends on the wind. If theres no wind lowering the arrow always works. kicking is much harder on madden 10 though. I wouldn't suggest kicking over 50.
The stronger legged kickers like Crosby, Bironas, and Janikowski can nail 60s all day, yet I can almost never get Feely to hit a 50 even at full power.
Why when I go into MAN coverage does no one ever cover the god damn running back? If I show the play art presnap it clearly shows a LB covering the RB but the assholes never do.
I second this, not to mention if it's a Screen, it seems like the Defense is moving in slowwwwwwwwww motion. Definitely something to bring up to CGP!
I take it you only mean on outside coverage? If thats the case, move them a bit wider apart. I think it has something to do with the programming, they seem to get caught up in what other players are doing and take on their role, it is a problem though
they really fucked something up with the linebacker man coverage. if you watch the replays the man who is supposed to cover the back will either strafe towards the middle for a few seconds until they realize what is going on or they will just stand still looking dumb for a second or two before trying to find the RB. they have another patch coming up sometime in the near future that may have a fix for it, but i wont be holding my breath on that. i have personally been reduced to running zone coverage plays that have flat coverage from a db or lb to combat this against people who abuse it.
Does anyone hate it when your players run away from the people making a big run? When a QB scrambles your players literally run away from the QB.
