The Revis shit is nothing new. The fact that Cimini is using TGG members to get his info is new. And fuckin hysterical.
I gotta say, I was high on Revis until I watched the press conference he gave, where he walked off before the questions were finished. When I heard him say he needs to put food on the table for his family, that threw me a curveball. He needs 16 mill per season to do it? Either way, still bought a Revis jersey, and I'm still gonna be a fan. I just wish this contract shit would be over with already so I don't have to see this side of him. It's really ruining my perception of him as a person, not a ball player.
honestly the contract situation is no big deal, whether he gets a new deal or not this season, revis is a jet untill at least 2012. and if he doesnt get a new contract this season, you know he's gonna play his ass off to get one for next season. but i'm w/you on i want this shit over with.
Every time a contract negotiation gets played out in the press I wonder whether it's worth playing close attention, or how much attention. First of all what we end up reading is second hand at best, with the original source either some public posturing by one of the parties, or speculation by a non-party. Hard info is uncommon. Sometimes one of the parties will say something that amounts to hard info, though, so you can't assume you will learn nothing, either, from following the story. Still, most of what seems to be coming out of the Revis story is just not that useful in telling us where it is likely to go, imo.
LOL- I swear to god I did not email him. Right after Manish tweeted about it and said this is basically what Revis has been saying all along. He's just putting on the Jets to meet his demands.
Good news: Cimini owes Mad half the money he got for writing this article. Bad news: That doesn't cover the stamp to mail it to him.
He's got Ty Law in one ear and Sean Gilbert in his other ear, and he has the same agent as Kendall and Baker. I expected stuff like this. Things that both Ty Law's camp said with the Pats and Revis' camp said with the Jets: - A contract offer was an 'insult' and a 'slap in the face'. - He has to 'feed his family'. And all three of Kendall, Baker and Revis said that the Jets 'broke their promise'. This was all going to be a difficult situation, and we all should have known that when Revis held out into his rookie training camp.
Have you seen the outrageous prices for strip steak and porterhouse if you don't catch them on a sale day?
and Now if you go to news.google.com and type in Darrelle Revis, there is about 50 articles now all based on Revis retiring as a Jet. lol Rich sparked a influx of non-news.
LOL I was just trying to get something out of the guy other then spare time hobbies and favorite color. lol
