i was so baked when i watched the lowlight of this on sportscenter...it was ridiculous i couldn't believe what i had just saw from that drop to this, luis castillo has to be a prime candidate for epic winner of the 09 baseball season

The remarkable thing is that he's actually having his best year since 2005, but all anyone is gonig to remember is first that dropped popup, and second this misadventure. Seems like a pretty good summary of the entire season.
Well on the brightside or darkisde depending on how you look at it Delgado and Wagner's contracts will be off the books. The unfortunate thing is a quick scan of 1st baseman FA's doesn't yield a whole lot of viable options. The Mets will have money to spend but the question is who do you replace Carlos with? Adam LaRoche? Nick Johnson? Not exactly quality players although LaRoche has show some glimpses here and there and he's only 30.
They have more than Carlos to replace, they also need to replace the catcher, get a real corner outfielder, setup man and get at least one high end starter
Between rooting for the Jets and this embarrassment of a baseball team, well at least I'm a Pens fan too thank goodness. Citi field is nice though...
