There was a lot of talk about him making this move in pre-season, but I haven't heard anything since then. Why not give him a go? He can't be any worse than E Smith out there.

He was playing there yesterday. He also has worked there in and out throughout the season in certain packages so he is not unfamiliar with it.

Has he made any impact there? I don't remember seeing him make any impact at safety. I did notice him at cb a few times last night.

He had a nice PD on a throw to Hernandez...but that was about it.

We played with Smith and Pool at safety for the majority of the night...Lowery can't do much worse.

Any guess who they are targeting to bring in? Rex said in today's presser, that they would bring in a DB.......

It sure won't be a pro bowl caliber safety.

You're correct, and how could he impact our team not having a full grasp of our defense......

Hate to say to say it but this team could really use Kerry Rhodes. I know he was a dog and ran his mouth a lot but he was good in pass coverage and that's exactly what the Jets need on D.

I am scared when he plays corner, never would I want him playing safety. Unless he is somehow better at Safety.

Do you guys think this will force us to get a safety in the first round? All the elite safeties are drafted in the first round like Polamalu, but he Colts got EXTREMELY lucky with Bethea. While then looking for 3-4 ends/OLBs in the 2nd/3d rounds

Why hate to say it? Its true. Kerry Rhodes played very well, we just expected him to be an all-pro. We had I think two 100-yard receivers against us last year. We have a 100-yard receiver in almost every other game this yr.

Yep, trading sherry was a mistake.

His pass coverage skills are sorely missed. It's not like pool has lit up people tackling anyways.

Kerry Rhodes' coverage skills went down the toilet when he stopped studying film. He hasn't ben good in coverage for 3 years.

Better than what we have right now. Only positive was the cap space saving.

because everyone here hates Kerry Rhodes. Personally, I think the Rex gave up on him too soon. It's not like they got much back a 3rd round pick is not bad but 3rd round picks are hit or miss you know.

It terms of talent, Kerry is way better than Pool. We might have hated Rhodes as a person, but who really cares? I'd rather win games.

I still hate Rhodes and he is suffering with a shitty team. Maybe he sees the Jets could have used him. All he had to do was put team first, suck it up, say your peace with DT, and he'd still be here.

He got soft cause he was more Hollywood than football. His tackling was very suspect cause he didn't want any bruises for the camera but his coverage skills were still better than anyone else on the team. That being said - Byz is right, his coverage skills have dropped further. He's a soft tackler looking for the highlight reel INT like he got on opening day with the Cards.

Fuck him. Let him suffer in the desert. Next time STFU and focus on football.
