Should jets now lose out and get top 10 draft pick? Standing as of today.... http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/sort/winPercent/group/1/order/true Houston Atlanta Denver San Francisco New England Green Bay Baltimore Seattle Indianapolis Washington Chicago Cincinnati NY Giants Minnesota Dallas Pittsburgh St. Louis NY Jets Miami New Orleans Tampa Bay San Diego Cleveland Buffalo Carolina Tennessee Arizona Oakland Detroit Philadelphia Jacksonville Kansas City
you say that like we have a choice in the matter. we are a bad team. if sanchez starts we wont win another game. if mcelroy or tebow start, we probably wont either
Or if we're lucky, trade it and stockpile picks further down. Maybe Tannenbaum can accomplish that w/o throwing in our 1rd dp over the next 5 years.
I wrote WEEKS ago that we should lose out and get a top draft pick. I said we were going to win JUST enough games to MISS the playoffs AND get a shit draft choice! I knew it. Same old Jets. Losers on BOTH ends!

We could get top 7 if titans win another game they have tiebreaker and alot of other teams would be after us like bills if they win last game vs us. I saw we do it....WHO TO DRAFT THOUGH lol
This. Any chance Rex has of remaining or find another head coaching job if fired will be tied to these next two games. One of his big draws is that payers love to play for him. Now is his chance to prove it. If the team comes out strong in the last two it proves his point. If they come out flat and disinterested, it looks horrible on him. One change that needs to be made, play the younger players more. Davis, Ellis, Coples, Allen, Bush, and Vlad need to see increased playing time. It's a chance to see what exactly we have in our young players.
No real point in that. I'm going to pick up tickets for the Chargers game, I picked up AZ tickets the night before for $20.00 a piece, I imagine these will be even cheaper. I want my son to see a win.
They should put Greg in and play reckless. If he wins games gun slinging fine. And if he losses, better draft pick. Either way we know what McElroy can do going into the off season.
The tie breaks don't work like that. It goes by Strength of Schedule. If I'm not mistaken, the Jets have one of the hardest SOS in the league, which would hurt their draft positioning.
So no good player has ever been drafted past the middle of the first round, making all draft picks after 11 or 12 shit picks? Just f'ing stupid.
Yeah now with McElroy in, play these next two games with our future players. Not the guys who will be gone.
Currently, with strength of schedule figured in, the Jets are at #14 in the draft. Realistically the best we can hope for even if we lose the next two games is probably 10 or 11. It is numerically possible to get as low as #6 or #7 but to get below 10 at this point just about everything would have to fall Just right. Basically to get to #6 we'd have to lose all the remainder of our games and the teams below us from would have to lose both of their remaining games. Unlikely. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2012/12/18/3779446/current-2013-nfl-draft-order
The real value in a high pick in this years draft is increased value in being able to trade down, there is always someone a team covets and believes will be gone in the top 10. But as a general rule, the most sure thing prospects do generally go in the top 10, but then again there are a lot of top 10 busts too.
