Here we are beating up on the only undefeated team in the league, and there's no cockyness, no excessive celebrating. Just focus, and a business as usual approach. This is a sign of a strong veteran presence, and a good coaching staff. This trait is what makes this team special. We're going. I CAN FEEL IT.
You've made an excellent point. The Jets look like pros out there. No immature BS. Just doing their job, which is to win football games. Great to see.
The Post game interview was a great example of this. "Tell us about your long touchdown run leon?" "Thats the offensive line giving me a chance to do my job, which is make big plays for this team how ever I can" Love that attitude. Shares the praise with the big guys up front and is not cocky at all about his skills. I love our mental make up and the way we play in the trenches. This team looks so soild in there its not funny.
This team is here to work. Here to win. Until the job is done (Super Bowl) there is no reason for the players to overly celebrate.
it's due to the fact that mangini puts so much emphasis on character/personality into account on top of skill when pursuing and acquiring players. we are seeing the results of that now.
