How soon does a deal NEED to be completely done for the preseason to start on time (zero games lost in the season)?
Hall of Fame game is cancelled. If deal gets done by end of this week no more games will be delayed/cancelled.
They are pushing it, though. Hall of Fame game is on August 7th, just 19 days away, or about 13 practices.
Obviously nothing is set in stone, but the chances of a Hall of Fame game are really low at this point.
Aside from the missed minicamps/OTA, training camp wouldn't normally begin until next week. In 2009, rookies reported 7/27; vets 7/30. In 2010, rookies 7/29; vets 8/2. Some useless *lockout* training camp trivia: 2010 'Hard Knocks' camp: - generated a 21% increase in attendance vs. '09 (41,000 vs. 34,000). - generated a 36% increase in economic activity vs. '09 (5.8M vs. 4.26) and this with 5 fewer dates in 2010 SUNY Cortland-Jet Training Camp economic impact report shows visitors from Brooklyn leading the way in filling the local coffers: http://www2.cortland.edu/dotAsset/289406.pdf .
I always picture Al Dorrow looking just like the Al Dorrow in his avatar. Makes him seem no less retarded, and perhaps even more in my opinion.
ONE "R" in Dorow, dumbass. It must be SO embarrassing to call a guy "retarded" and at the same time LOOK like one yourself. TommyGreen....Le-Who-Za-Her LOL
My understanding is if the new CBA is finalized and signed by all parties by Thursday night, NFL is open for business by Friday AM.. With wide open F/A signing period to begin by monday... Allowing 3 days for teams to dign there own F/A first
