I dont really think the signing of edwards is that big a deal, they didnt do anything on defense with him the past few years, and he is no john abraham

Sh*t!!!! I hope we don't trade him just for the sake of trading him and get less than market value for one of the games premier pass rushers. If we weren't switching to a 3-4, I'd seriously consider long term contract with Abe at this point. Sounds crazy, but money heals all wounds.

It seems as though the redskins have been really pushing the abe for a 2nd and ramsey deal, but that is DEFINITELY not worth it for us. We need 1st round picks this year so we can rebuild and have a good young core. Yes, you can find talent in the later rounds, but if we want this team to compete in a couple of years, we need some star players out of the draft this year.

That is also the mark of a good coach. Turn a bad situation into a positive situation. I refuse to let Abe break our bank, though.

Cleveland was about to sign Edwards, this could put them back in the Abraham sweepstakes

thats an interesting thought.. I don't know if cleveland showed any interest though.. Edwards is definitely at least a couple notches below abe..

Thing is, cleveland is not going to trade their 1st for abe.. they wanted to sign edwards from free agency, not trading for him.. Signing an FA DE and trading for a top notch DE are two totally different things when it comes to interest in a position.

Wow. It still amazes me how delusional most of you are on Abes value.

"The Broncos, thought to be the front-runners, may be cooling on Abraham because of old off-the-field issues. The Falcons, Seahawks and Browns are thought to be interested, and he may visit some of those teams this week."

Abe also wants a ton of money. This all might go a little slow.
