The man most responsible for the turnover characteristic is QB Chad Pennington. In the months following his release from the Jets, the presumed over-the-hill quarterback resurrected his career and re-energized a city in Miami. To say he has reinvented himself, however, would be to indulge in hyperbole. Pennington?s the same player that he was with the Jets. Only now, he?s in a ball-control style offense that plays to his strengths ? decision making and accuracy ? rather than one in New York that highlighted his deficiency ? arm strength.

That's what Pennington brings to a team... the ability to manage a team to victory, but not able to carry one on his back. He rarely turns the ball over

Favre has had multiple game winning drives for us, and has carried the team on his back in a couple of those drives. Favre also throws one to the other team every now and then, it has been apart of his package forever. When we switch in Favre for Pennington I immediately thought that our O just became more explosive, but we were gonna see a lot more turnovers than in Chad era.

He sure turned the ball over a lot last season at the worst times to seal the game for the other team

Im with you on that. If where gonna beat the Dolphins week 17 we gotta take care of the football and not commit stupid penalties. Overall where better on both sides.

    Ummmm....No.

THE MAN MOST RESPONSIBLE IS BILL PARCELLS.

After that comes the Def coordinator, who doesn't allow the team to play from behind.

(P.S. I don't know who wrote that article, but we had Dan Henning here..the problem isn't playing Martyball for 10 games a year, the problem with Chad is that style of football cannot take you to the next level of football)

The Jets are 3rd in scoring offense, but the defense is in 20th place in points allowed.

The Dolphins are only 23rd in scoring offense, but the defense is 8th in points allowed.

Chad fits their offense better than he does ours. We are better off without Chad. I don't think we win nearly as many games with Chad as our QB. Chad is just keeping the seat warm for Henne. The only mistake we made was not trading him to the Vikings or somebody not in our division for a 7th rounder. I wouldn't be surprised if Chad performs better against us than his first time where he threw a game ending interception, but I also think Henne in his 16th game could put up some numbers on us as well like Tygpien, Hill, and the like did.

Chad is having a great season. I fear him and regret releasing him. But I hope we knock his dick in the dirt on week 16.

However, this site is full of "the Brettferd Wives". Brett could score a TD for the other team and an army of posters would arrive and explain how it wasn't really his fault and probably better for us in the long run.

By the end of the week it will be "because we have Brett Favre we got a strip sack for a TD" to save the season Brett Favre could not save himself.

Chad may not throw as many int's but how many points did the Dolphins have in their win over SF last week? 14? When was the last time a CHad Pennington offense scored 40 something points before the half? All Im saying is this, I have always been a Chad Supporter but @ times, he can really struggle against tougher Defenses...The JEts lead the AFC in points scored with Favre who keeps the team going...This man is a natural born leader and the JEts offense can be explosive come playoff time...With Chad as the Jets QB, in years past...Im not sure that I would feel this pumped up or this confident. We will see, but I can bet my bottom dollar that this Jets defense will force Pennington into making mistakes

I don't get what the problem was last year. CP was throwin a ton of picks, that's why he was presumed done. He couldn't throw bombs and was still turning it over in the short game.... But he has played way better this year for the Fish and that's what baffles us all. He's been throwin deeper balls than Favre.

How was that turnover to end the game in week 1? There was one Chad moment as a Dolphin. I predict some more of the same in week 17.

Miami is so OVERRATED its not funny. Their defense is so good! They allowed 12 points vs. the Rams, 3 vs. the Bills, 9 vs. The 49ers. They don't allow TD's! Against SHITTY teams. New England dropped 48 on that same D not too long ago. I am not afraid.

His Offense here highlighted his arm strength? Did that guy actually watch the Jets play? Chad had ONE bad hyear w/ us which was last year when he was playing on 2 torn ligaments in his ankle and we had the worst OL I have ever seen. No QB could have had success w/ us a year ago.

"Chad moment"? Doi me a favor and outside of 2007 name me all the "Chad moments" where he threw an INT late in the game to seal a loss? It won't take you long, it wouldn't take you long even if you included last year. I just love how these myths spread and people think they are facts.

Chad Pennington isn't the only player on that offense that can turn the ball over. Our defense isn't stout, but if there's anything they've done well in the past 14 games, it's force turnovers. They are a very opportune group of players, and they've been able to strip the ball on many occasions, and we also have a decent amount if picks. Most times we've won this year, it's been partially due to game-changing turnovers. And a decent abilitiy to capitalize on them. But I think I'll worry about that Miami game on Monday.

Shut up, Brett Favre is the cool dad I never had and I like him. Sniff, why couldn't my dad be like Brett Favre?
