Sure is. I've been seeing some 60" LED TVs for around $600 or so, but they are "name" brands like LG.
I have had some LG products and not been hapy with them, including a refrigerator that I had serviced and the guy said the computer part crapped out, and LG was known for having a lot of problems. Then there was the surround sound/DVD player that broke. I won't buy LG.
I heard the same thing about Samsung from my repair guy a few years ago. Said they kept him in business. My 4 year old LG plasma developed 5-6 vertical green lines after about 3 years. They aren't too obvious unless you look for them. My 2 year old LG plasma is still perfect.
My only experience with LG was the LG G2X dual core phone that was rushed into production and far too soon. They had a shit agreement with my provider and as such I got software updates a year later than everyone else. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with the rampant hardware malfunctions that apparently most other people with owned phone had to, but still... I'll never own another Korean product that is introduced into this country.
