With a record of 2-2...We are still in this thing, a win tomorrow is huge! I still have faith in this Jets team and I believe that Favre can take us far this year... Tomorrow is like a playoff game if you ask me, it's a MUST win!
H'mm what do you think our chances would be at this stage vs the Eagles in the SB? How about our chances vs the Boys? How about our chances vs the NYGs? Think any better success for us vs TN or Den or Bflo?
I'm just saying... A win tommorow could lift this Jets team up and have us in the thick of things after week 4... I'm still not sold on the Bills or the Patriots winning the AFC East, in my eyes...This Jets team with Favre still has a strong chance @ the playoffs this year and for some reason...Many fans are already counting this team out, not me.
The NFL is crazy... In week one...The Jets beat the Dolphins then lost to NE in week two. Look @ the Dolhpins, they just lost to the JETS but KILLED the Patriots...Anything can happen in the NFL. The Cards are the only team that matters as of right now... Who cares about the Eagles, Giants or Cowboys? The Cards are the team that matters the most and a win tomorrow can have this Jets team @ 2-2 with a chance @ 3-2 the following week. You think anyone gave the Rays a chance against teams like Boston or NY when they started slow in April? Look what happened during the year? The Rays got hot and won the AL East...I feel the Jets can go on a strong run and take the AFC East, but hey...I Guess thats just me
We need a win tomorrow but so much more will happen this season. Anyone can get injured in the blink of an eye (Brady) and any teams fortune can change yet.
Why such a panic at 1-2. The Chargers on the road (a SB contender) being one of the losses. Big f'n deal. We win this win, 2-2. Not too shabby. Let's go Jets!
Impossible at 1-2. Not with this bunch anyway. We've dug ourselves a nice, deep hole (like your mom! :rimshot.
Exactly... Many fans were predicting 1-2 before the season started in the first place... Give me 2-2 all day with the schedule the Jets have the rest of the way and I'll take it any day of the week. 2-2 heading into the bye week would be pretty exciting
I agree. 2-2 heading into a bye week would be great. Favre gets another 2 weeks to gel with the receivers plus the confidence boost. We'll be ok. But I disagree this is a "must win". Even at 1-3, the season is not over. I feel like 9-7 in the AFC will easily get you in. 8-4 is not impossible with the schedule we have left. But a win tomorrow would be huge, leaving our goal to 7-5 rest of the way.
I love the faith you have in this Jets team, I feel the same way...I wish more fans were like yourself. But I wont lie, I still feel that it will take a 10-6 record to make the playoffs here in 08
This game is huge from the standpoint of measuring how good a team we are. There are excuses for NE and SD, but there's no excuses here. At home, against a perenially weak road team is a must win for a team bound for the playoffs. Here is the worst-case scenario and I had a premonition of it today: Mangini is at the after-game press conference explaining that they ran 65% of the time because their game strategy was to burn the clock against a potent offense. Of course, this plan backfires and we lose. Who the f**k are we, the Giants under Parcells? I hope I'm seeing an alternative universe and the Jets come out offensive minded.
Must win game, 1-3 and sad to say it, but it'll over all but over for the jets. If you can't be legit teams, there's just no hope. After all the improvements this team made in the offseason, they should be winning.
this post is awesome because most people here have already given up... this team can still easily compete for playoffs!
It's hard to take you and your threads serious when your sig still has 1-0. What happened to the last 2 games? Or do you only come on here to gloat when the Jets win?
Actually... I only get on the computer about once a week, if that... And I've been on since the Pats loss, nice try though. P.S...Maybe you should stick around longer than a year...Before you go "Calling people out" Rookie
