So this is what Rex meant when he said lets get a snack... he went out and got Big Snacks Harrison. Ok corny jokes aside, seriously where did we find this monster? I went back and watched the game, and he may have been our most disruptive lineman, right there with Big Mo. The Bills had to resort to double teaming Harrison at times, and he still manages to get a push into the pocket, enabling our other guys to do work. Also, you cant run at this guy. Seriously, youll get swallowed up and eaten for a snack. It cannot be underestimated how valuable this guy has been for us. What do we have here with this guy? Last year he was quietly very good and only playing better this year. The scouting department needs to be applauded for finding a gem at William and Mary (!???), and Rex and Dunbar for coaching this dude up.
Just checked on pro football focus, hes the highest rated defensive lineman in the league against the run, and was iur highest rated player yesterday.... wow
Here you go: 16.00 – Bills at Jets Game Notes - The three highest graded players were David Harris (+5.1), Damon Harrison (+4.3) and Muhammad Wilkerson (+3.6) - The three lowest graded players were Colin Brown (-7.6), E.J. Manuel (-6.4) and Kyle Wilson (-5.4) - Kyle Wilson earned that grade in part because he was flagged five times. To put that into perspective no cornerback has been flagged more than four times in the first three weeks combined. - A rough day for Manuel was made worse by Geno Smith outplaying him. Smith wasn’t perfect but coped exceptionally well when blitzed, converting 6-of-11 attempts for 161 yards and a touchdown. - A lot of guys can consider themselves lucky not to make the bottom three. One of those is Justin Rogers who allowed a staggering 247 yards into his coverage. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/09/23/pff-reaction-blog-week-3/
I'm going to be a total slapdick right now and point something out. Just like Rick never said, "Play it again, Sam," Rex never said, "Let's get a goddamn snack." Unfortunately, and a little weirdly, he said, "Let's go to eat a goddamn snack." #fuckingnewyorkjets
I loved watching this kid in the preseason last year, I knew he had potential but was afraid he'd be a casualty from the numbers game. I researched him coming out of the draft and was one of the small school prospects I loved. I also think it's cool that he works out with former Olympic sprinter Ato Bolden, he actually tweeted back at me once regarding Bolden.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Now I hate Cimini as much as the next guy, but everyone should read this article, Snacks has a background that makes him very easy to root for http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=9717854
