Leon Learns to Do Things Losers Hate Doing http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show_permalink/leon-learns-to-do-things-losers-hate-doing
Looks like we signed this guy back in January. Jan. 11, 2007 - 6:40 p.m. ET http://fantasyfootball.usatoday.com/content/player.asp?sport=NFL&id=2578 Jets signed WR Frisman Jackson to a future contract. Jackson has good size and has been an intriguing prospect ever since he went for 128 yards and a score to kick off the 2005 season. His numbers after that have been minimal and he was out of football in 2006, but Eric Mangini is willing to give all players a shot and Jackson could fill a Justin McCareins-like role if he sticks out in camp.
Let's not forget that we have Wallace Wright (I believe that's his name) WR signed last year who is an absolute burner on ST. If only that would now translate to the offensive side of the ball.
That one game was exactly what I was thinking about. I remember Jackson getting some ridiculous game and picking him up on my fantasy team for some reason haha. Anyway, hell, if he can replicate half of that game, I'll be happy haha.
Most definitely. He's only going to benefit from having Jones there. When Jones is ready to retire Leon will be just entering his prime where the light switch turns on.
Michael Turner Thought the Turner lovers and haters would find this interesting. We may get a real close look of what this guy can do in a feature role: Chargers restricted free agent Michael Turner was a hot name over at the NFL meetings in Phoenix this week. Teams looking for a starting running back are assessing whether to make a run at trading for Turner or filling their needs in the late-April NFL draft. "There was a lot of activity," Chargers general manager A.J. Smith said. "Very interesting. We'll see what all the talk means. "There's legitimate interest on a few teams' part. A couple others are asking." Smith declined to discuss specifics in terms of interested teams or what offers he has fielded. But it's known that the Green Bay Packers are highly interested in Turner. The Buffalo Bills also have interest. Apparently I have not yet posted enough to start my own thread so I stuck this tidbit here.
yea the Jets signed him back in January....they guy has some great speed and can help our offense stretch the field...a wild card to make the roster come august
That ship has sailed. If the Chargers are smart, they'll get rid of Turner now while his stock is sky high and cash in. But, thankfully, the Jets won't be the team to overpay. I'm happier with the TJones/Leon duo.
Leon's got the right attitude. He is this team's future at RB and a great skill player. Leon/Jones combo will be unstoppable.
