NFL | L. White has hamstring tear Thu, 13 Apr 2006 14:44:22 -0700 Mike Klis, of the Denver Post, reports USC RB LenDale White (hamstring) underwent an MRI on his right hamstring that showed he has a moderate tear near the pelvic region, according to Dr. Randall Eldridge, a Denver chiropractor renowned for his treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. The hamstring tear will sideline White until mid-May, which means White will not have a personal workout prior to the April 29 NFL Draft and may not be ready for the minicamp of the NFL team that selects him. "He should recover fine," Dr. Eldridge said. "He just needs time to heal. But I could see where he would have been in considerable pain had he tried to run." White hopes the tear found in his hamstring will ease NFL executive concerns about his work ethic. The extent of the potential damage to his draft value, however, won't be known until April 29.
Interesting...this could drop him a lot, or maybe even help him because he now has an excuse for his poor workouts or lack there of.
I'd believe he's in the second round now... unless a team like Indy or Pitt is willing to take the risk. All of the problems he's had through his workouts and the combine are just too much, and an injury drops him back completely.
I say Indianapolis, if they are smart, will take him. I know his stock is droppin like it's hot, but this guy could easily start right away if he stays healthy.
I don't see the Colts passing on him unless Maroney or Williams is there, and Maroney might be. If he is, they will likely take him, and then White will most likely be a Steeler.
I dunno, I think he would be a horrible fit for the Colts. They just seem like a team bred on speed and finesse not brute force. I think Maroney or Addai are much better fits. I just don't think they are set up to have a power running back. The Steelers on the other hand...
