If we believe that Leinhart is the real deal. And I do, then I would do whatever it takes to get a franchise QB.
Like i've stated, i believe leinart is and will be the best player coming out of the draft. IMO, he's simply doesn't have any apparent weaknesses. Notice i said IMO so nobody burn me on this, and if i know you people like i do, i'll get burned.
I don't know much about Leinhart. But the Qb from USC whose name is Matt Leinart is gonna be a stud..
I say real deal, but he will not drop to us. Also, we can't trade up for him because I honestly feel we can't afford him.
Hes the real deal. All he needs is a good oline to protect him and hell be good. If he gets to play this year and he ends up on New Orleans i think hell struggle because the have no oline. I think hell be a great player though.
Agree completely. His arm is the only part of his game that isn't considered a strength, so people naturally assume it is a weakness. It is very adequate.
he is the real deal. He showed it in the rose bowl. Yes he did lose but, he was completing passes in the face of pressure, got rid of the ball and performed. He has the makings of a good-great NFL QB. But unfortunately he will not fall to us and he is not worth trading up for considering the other qb's we can get who are also looking great.
He is the real deal, no question about that. The only part of his game that isn't "great" is his arm strength, but it is still above average, and stronger than Pennington's.
Who is Leinhart? I know there's a QB named Matt Leinart, but I have never heard of anyone called Leinhart...
Wow I wish I was a smart as you. I really hate when people do this. At least contribute to the thread in ur post. You bring nothing to the table ...... Anyway.. I dont think anyone will know if hes the real deal. We can argue it all night and day but until he starts callin signals we wont know. On paper he obviously looks good, in game he looks good, but its a different team and a completely different situation.
Product of the system? Sure, Norm Chow's system.... the same system that produced Carson Palmer who never led a National Championship USC team.
Product of system and a lot of talent around him. The two best RBs in college behind him, three of the top OL in college to protect him, and a top WR to throw to, what more could a QB ask for. USC will have more 1st day player picked in the draft than any other school.
IMO Leinart made both smith and jarrett better because he's a phenominal passer. Dominique byrd as well.
He's a good QB that benefited greatly by being surrounded by an incredible amount of talent. How many USC players are at the combine? 12? 15? Vanderbuilt..... 1. Having played in a pro style offense helps him. Whether or not he can deal with the adversity he is sure to encounter on a lousy NFL team remains to be seen. He didn't exactly come up big with his after Rose Bowl comments. I think he'll be a fairly good NFL QB.
Yes, yes. I know his name is Leinart. I was on my way out of work when I wrote it. You bunch of smart asses Anyways, I think that if we don't move up there is a chance we could even miss out on Cuttler. He is going to pass V. Young. So, if we are looking to get a QB if Chad leaves then we are going to have to move up. Or, wait until the later rounds and grab Croyle or Omar Jacobs.
Leinart is a Leader . he may not have carson's cannon. but he has many other attributes that are very similar to carson. His arm strength is not as people tend to question. His accuracy is great. so chalk me up for : Real Deal
Real deal. Had a lot of talent around him, but I don't know why people always say how he benifited so much from it, but the players around him couldn't have possibly benefited from playing with him. Talent or not, he was maybe the most successful college qb ever, and he came up big in every single big game he played in. I see no reason he can't be a great NFL player.
