anyone can be a bust, its just picking the right poison.

jay cutler.....alot of people say kyle boller sound familiar?

well does ben roethlisberger ring a bell?

im on the fence about cutler, only cause it wouldnt make much sense for me to completely dismantle leinart who seems picture perfect over a workout warrior.

all the bs about the NFL arm are true though, his placement is perfect he has a quick release, sloppy mechanics when dropping back due to playing at Vandy behind no OL.(which can be cleaned up)

the thing is though will anyone be happy? people make fun of penningtons lack of power; cutler is called a bust because people are excited about his gunslinger style.

and nobody has said he's perfect i think spitfeful jet fans are trying to call what would be a not so surprising bust if it did happen.

and leinart was surrounded by talent and in a weak conference. (sorry pac-10 fans if you took the defensive pro's and sorted it by college conference youd be dissappointed, and dont give me polamalu tatupu or suggs as a blatant argument back. im talking the number of pros)
not to mention he seems a lil immature and fascinated with limelight.

vince young, a pure athlete and raw talent. something not smiled upon as a QB. someone who wont always make the play with his arm and which is why people question the ability for his game to translate to the next level. people also question the shotgun spread offense he ran and his ability to learn new schemes. but when you have a QB who can run that fast spreading the defense is a key to victory.

so anyways have fun debating bitching n moaning fellow ganggreen! :breakdance:

Blah, Blah, Blah. As much as this is a football/JET forum it is a debate one, as well. I know no fan who loves this team like I do. I come here to get other fan perspective and I have to admit, some of it gets me thinking. However, if we lost the debating we would lose the site. It's March 1st. What else does a JET FAN Forum have to talk about? Everyone got their taxes done?

I don't know Cutler scares me a bit..I remember when Boller in front of NFL scouts got on his knees at the 50 yard line and tossed a football though the uprights..Thats arm strength. Does it equate to a NFL Quarterback ..Nope..I think we need to pass on QB this year. Trade our pick. In my opinon ..This draft falls off hard after the top 10 and after that the second round looks great as well as the third. There is tons of depth. I would to get as many 2nd and 3rds as possible. Or draft Furgeson..or goat rope Oakland into taking our pick (Cutler)and either getting Hawk or Mario if we are lucky

If we had all three would I still be happy? Is that the question?

I wouldn't want all 3 at all, that would mean about half our cap would be invested in 3 QBs.

The question implies I was happy before I had all three and that's not the case. I'm not happy because I have none of them right now. If I had one of them, I might be happy, but I don't, so I'm not.

Accordingly, how can I still be happy if I wasn't even happy in the first place?
