Well now with the Saints not needing a QB that leaves the 2 top QBs in the draft in reach of the JETS. My guess is that it'll take a trade with the Saints to get ahead of Tennesse if they want Leinart.

If the JETS even want to go the route of QB would you prefer

    1) Trade up to grab Leinart
    2) V. Young at #4
    3) none of the above (BPA at #4)

#1, if we are going to take a QB. But i am also down with Brick or Hawk if we decide to go defense.

If i had my choice, i would try and move up and grab Leinart. Quinn is the only QB equal or better than he is in my mind and next year I do not think we will be in a place to nab him.

I guess nothing yet, we still don't know what the Saints will do in the draft. What if they trade down to another team that need a QB

I agree, but the Jets FO won't. They'll look at where the Pats got Brady, and the fact that the Pats accumulated picks to get better, and they'll try to do it the same way. They are probably looking at Quinn as the next Brady.....but what if you don't get him?

I think no QB this year, draft a QB in the first round next year (Brady Quinn, Brian Brohm)

Trade up for Leinart. He is the best QB in the draft this year or next(and would have been last year), oppurtunities like this don't come along very often. The guy is probably even smarter than Pennington with better physical skills. Pennington and Ramsey are under one year contracts, possibly both gone by next year. If Pennington or Ramsey catch fire this year sign them long term and trade Leinart next year.

I would take Young, it would take too much to trade up. According to the DVC, it would take our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to match the #2, and that's a high 2nd, where we could get a good O-Lineman.

Young with the ability to keep all our picks is better than Leinart and trading the farm for him

Even if Quinn is better what is the chance we would actually be able to get him.
If the price isn't too high the Jets will trade up. If it's too steep take BPA at 4 and take Croyle in the 2nd.

See if Chad holds up. Pick up OL in 1st round, then get a QB later in the draft.

Young is far from what this team needs. He is not that big armed or accurate. He is just a scrambling fool that will get hurt in a 16 game schedule by way of his own talents.JMHO. Leinart will be a more mature candidate and easier project to build upon than Young.

Abe to the skins, for this year2, next years one, without moving up we could get
Cutler, Giles, AND Maroney....(Joseph Addai, at the least)

Sorry man, but to me, Leinart looks like a higher priced version of Former Southern Cal QB Rob Johnson.

Leinart is the best player in this draft IMO, i would definately give up a few picks to get him.
