Get this guy NOW. I picked him up last week because a friend of mine is a Bucs fan and he warned me that this kid is talented and will get more and more work as the season goes on. So glad I took the risk and started this guy today. He is the Jamaal Charles of this year, assuming he doesn't punch out the other team:rofl:
I picked him up just because I have been desperate for a second solid running back and I saw his carries trending upwards while Cadillac kept sucking. He ended up being my leading scorer this week and I'm hoping to lean on him during the late season playoff push.
It's impossible to get anyone in the TGG KFFL because 2 people sign on at 5AM Tuesday morning and pickup every person who scored a point.
He was added to Easton on Friday. 28 guys who scored 10+ last week are available & 490 guys who scored at least a point are available.
In a league I'm in anybody who gets a mention in an ESPN article as possible waiver wire gold (aka almost everyone at some point or another) is on a roster immediately.
We do a budgeted waiver wire. Each team gets a $100 to spend on the waiver wire throughout the season. Whoever bids the highest gets the player (ties go to the worse/worst record). It prevents people hoarding waiver wire picks and if there is a pick you want/need, you need to put your money on the table. It goes off every night (tuesday to saturday) and prevents the people who work on computers all day from instantly nabbing the player who is the hot waiver wire pick of the day.
I got him, it was a wonderful thing. I still lost though. My opponents' average score in my 3 defeats was around 150. The average score in my league is 103. I'm still waiting for CJ Spiller to break out, lol.
Thats why you should have all players immediately go on waivers Sunday at 1pm and then have waivers clear Wedsnesday morning. This way everyone gets a shot at each person and highest waiver wire priority wins. Keeps it fair. Thats how we do it in our league.
Ok.. so here is the thing.. Im in a deep 12 person leage were we start 3wr 2 rb nd a w/r flex.. here is the situation.. my WR are pretty solid both talent and depth with Marshall Fitzgerald Garcon Bowe and Dez Bryant.. I got offered Blount for Bryant straight up.. should i take it since I have the depth at the position and prob wont be starting him anyway.. plus i have Vincent Jackson coming back in week 12.. So basically I definitely want to trade a WR for a RB, my question is Blount the real deal or should I look for someone else? and i need help at the RB position.. after my two starters.. im down to forsett who is lucky to get 5 carries now with Lynch in seattle
My only RB's are Hillis and Gore so I badly need a backup and a possible starter..especially this week.. so hopefully he does good since I picked him up.
I would take it...The only thing that would stop me was if Bryant had an EASY playoff schedule and you would start him. RB points seem tough to come by these days
